Interesting to read that Ayr United fans were disgusted by the way Dundee United behaved while attempting to sign Craig Conway.
While at hospitality at Queens Park a couple of years ago one of the Directors of Queens Park remarked that when a time takes a player off them there is obviously not money for that player. But what a club tends to do is provide a gift to Queens Park, for instance one club paid for new goal posts or another may loan them a player. The director remarked that Celtic, Hibs and Partick Thistle had always did this with their players. He remarked that the same could not be said for Douglas, Dundee United just swooped without a word of thanks and the Queens Park directors think they behaved a bit disrespectfully.
