  1. Would hope that he and Sean Welsh would be offered new contracts
  2. I know Welsh has at least another year but would thought he would be offered a deal, though thats providing the information in the newspaper was correct
  3. Damon Gray - played season 2007-08 on loan from Hibs then was loaned again 2008-2009 Maybe he is the player returning this summer
  4. Same here but unfortunately if Dundee United and Kilmarnock are both interested they can pay far more than us
  5. Reading policemans whistles post again it says approached - so I guess they could be asked and said no. For some reason I dont think it will be Tuffey and maybe Daniels or someone because they would be cheaper
  6. Hardie as player coach of the Under 20's?
  7. Again well done to all for organsing a great day and raising some much needed funds for the club as well. Fantastic work
  8. Fantastic effort here. Well doen to all involved with this
  9. If Doolan still signs we would only have McGuigan who needs to be loaned out so I would expect us to add another 2-3 forwards possibly
  10. Sounds great news but im slightly cautious until they actually sign on the dotted line
  11. Well said David. The guy was an absolutely fantastic player for us
  12. To be fair your judging him on game the Raith Rovers one as well. He has been mixed as I remember him being rank against Queens Park - best hing to do is to loan him out. Worryingly I heard both Kilmarnock and our dear friends Tannadice way are interested in Doolan - but this is the season for rumours so hopefully turns out to be nothing.
  13. BMMH Perhaps? The main thing is its someone Archie knows he can rely on
  14. Well said also only 24 and quite a bit of experience in the SPL - and be determined to stay there this time. A good signing
  15. Has he not played for the Northern Ireland team or was it the under 21's?
  16. I think he is highly rated by a number of people in the game from what i have heard. I think we should be hanging onto him.Even if McGuigan scores a hat tick against Dumbarton Im still far from convinced. He is only 20 so time yet. Loan him out for a while ideally - Queens Park if promoted - we sign Shankland and loan Shankland and McGuigan to them for a few months Dunfermline - McGuigan as loan and cash for Wallace. Dundee - Loan McGuigan and cash for Baird or Harkins - Im not convinced Baird has been that bad in the SPL set up and scored some goals in a Dundee team that has struggled badly. Though its still not definite that Dundee will be relegated. Or a loan to Raith, Morton etc
  17. Think some of the cirticism of Dowie and McMillan is a bit ott. These guys have stepped in for key games - McMillan when we were down to 10 men away to Raith, Dowie at home to Morton and were pretty solid for 2 players playing their first games for a new club. In the couple of games they have played both have even scored goals. Think we could do far far worse than have these 2 in the squad next season
  18. I thought Ryan Wallace made a big difference to the Pars when he came on. A player who I think could make the step up to the SPL
  19. Is the player of the year night not on saturday? If so are they not all more likely to be there?
  20. Interesting to read that Ayr United fans were disgusted by the way Dundee United behaved while attempting to sign Craig Conway. While at hospitality at Queens Park a couple of years ago one of the Directors of Queens Park remarked that when a time takes a player off them there is obviously not money for that player. But what a club tends to do is provide a gift to Queens Park, for instance one club paid for new goal posts or another may loan them a player. The director remarked that Celtic, Hibs and Partick Thistle had always did this with their players. He remarked that the same could not be said for Douglas, Dundee United just swooped without a word of thanks and the Queens Park directors think they behaved a bit disrespectfully.
  21. Does anyone know if the scarves these gents are holding are on sale at Greaves or the club? Not seen them anywhere else
  22. Great idea mate - have you emaield the club with this idea
  23. Im wondering that if we lose a lot of our behind the scenes staff to Tannadice Archie may bring in Hardie in a role, maybe youth coach or something. In general most SPL teams have loads of different coaches - community, youth etc - Falkirk do as well so would not be surprised to see Hardie in some role with the club
  24. A number of first divison teams including Morton FC have tweeted PTFC congratulations. Like this thread big respect to all these teams and in particular Morton FC, they made for a great league and hopefully they get their chance soon in the SPL
  25. Fantastic. Everyone associated with Partick Thistle - players, management, Directors, volanteers fans deserve this and enjoy every minute
