  1. i wasn't sure if the ziggy Gordon deal was still a possibility with him just signing a new deal and McNamara also hovering around
  2. did joe cardle not play for the pars in the spl?If we are looking for a left back what about Ryan McGivern at Hibs? I know he is part of a terrible Hibs team but I'm sure it's the whole team and management to blame not just McGivern and with spl experience and in a different team he might do okay
  3. Great news well done Gary Well done Archie in getting Gary and Stuart on new deals
  4. As others have said a bit disappointing that we have to wait till July. Does anyone know if they will have otehr merchandise available before then such as polo tops, hoodies, training tops etc
  5. Any particular poster you had in mind?I see both have been released by East Fifie no doubt whoever posted these points is on the phone right now to Archie urging him to offer them both deals immediately
  6. dont think graham is a bad idea either again like erskine its his first year in the spl. Dundee united fans seem to give very simple support to these guys and jump on their backs very quickly. I could actually see McNamara letting erskine and graham go especially if it means he can use the money to keep cifti, mackay Stevens, Dow, Gauld etc
  7. To be fair pie of the month when John Baird signed for raith at that point he did very well for them in the first division. At that time when we were in the first division also he probably would have been a good signing
  8. He did attend the cup final - The Firhill Cup Final I see he and his wife and daughter all went. Dont know if all the team was at the Firhill Cup final? But Chris definetly knows what was the big cup final for Partick Thistle fans so good on him and hopefully be back at Firhill in the red and yellow soon
  9. Cairney would be on last chance saloon, he has been pretty good in a garbage Hibs team, back home where he belongs he could excel.I have to say for Buabens experience with Dundee United and Carlisle I did expect a bit more from him and expected him to be a bit more mobile than he appeared to be
  10. I maybe wrong but McNulty is a midfielder I thought while Lyle is a forward so might not make much difference?
  11. Yeah but he is still really young and will be going on loan likely for another season so still plenty of potential
  12. Jury is out for Prince. At times I thought he has looked quite slow and cumbersome - not to sure if he was perhaps injured but certainly wouldnt put him a priority before Taylor, Erskine, Cairney (if possible) and a central defender
  13. Im wondering if we would consider Kane Hemmings again - Must admit I just thought he was another overated/overpaid rangers player. But cant ignore the goals he has scored this season - worth considering if we cant get Taylor, though dont know if he has a bit of a billy big time attitude and that may be the only reason why Archie might not conisder him A couple of outstanding saves from Ryan Scully, he is the reason the Pars are still in the game, good thinking on Archie's part to offer a new deal to him
  14. Agree Lee definetly played his part in keeping us up. Thanks for all your hard work Lee and hope it works out elsewhere for you
  15. Out of interest at New Broomfield the bar there was also open before games and the staff all had Airdrieonians polo shirts, ties etc on. It also showed Sky but I am not sure if that bar was open just before games or open all the time
  16. Well done everyone for getting everything resolved
  17. very good point and let's face it the jhs is big enough to accomadate this
  18. i would have no problem for the Celtic fans to be in the jhs and thistle fans in the ns and main stand for the Celtic game.
  19. Congratulations WJ on this great milestone! Was the game at Firhill or Cathkin?
  20. I think scully will be on loan next season then he returns to challenge fox or Gallagher then basalj would be out on loan if he is still here. Think fox still has to do a bit more to convince he is completely an SPL standard keeper
  21. Great news - Well done Stuart
  22. The article of course could have been misquoted. You will not be surprised to read my friend that I dont entirely agree with you. I personally feel he contributed more than Buaben (who had the benefit of a good couple fo years Premier League experience) Also dont think for what his was his first year in the premier league he was just as good as Craigen, Piccolo, Balatoni, Fox, Lawless, Elliot and Muirhead whose first year in the SPL it was as well and you could say there is room for improvement for them as well. I should add that for some reason I feel Lawless gets a hard time from some our supporters - lets not forget 5 goals in a fist season in the SPL where he has not played all around the time is not that bad. Although it was also Doolan, Bannigan and Fraser's first year in the SPL they all adjusted really well under the circumstances
  23. just to add in similar thoughts. I've already signed petition and well done to Adam and the others for their hard work in getting it set up. I'm wondering if there's any value in a third petition stating that people will renew season tickets centenary funds etc when the north stand decision is reversed. This might illustrate perfectly to the board just how many season tickets they stand to lose unless they do reverse it.
  24. excellent email wj - there's no name calling etc just sticking to the facts and making very valid points - good work
