  1. I maybe wrong but McNulty is a midfielder I thought while Lyle is a forward so might not make much difference?
  2. Yeah but he is still really young and will be going on loan likely for another season so still plenty of potential
  3. Jury is out for Prince. At times I thought he has looked quite slow and cumbersome - not to sure if he was perhaps injured but certainly wouldnt put him a priority before Taylor, Erskine, Cairney (if possible) and a central defender
  4. Im wondering if we would consider Kane Hemmings again - Must admit I just thought he was another overated/overpaid rangers player. But cant ignore the goals he has scored this season - worth considering if we cant get Taylor, though dont know if he has a bit of a billy big time attitude and that may be the only reason why Archie might not conisder him A couple of outstanding saves from Ryan Scully, he is the reason the Pars are still in the game, good thinking on Archie's part to offer a new deal to him
  5. Agree Lee definetly played his part in keeping us up. Thanks for all your hard work Lee and hope it works out elsewhere for you
  6. Out of interest at New Broomfield the bar there was also open before games and the staff all had Airdrieonians polo shirts, ties etc on. It also showed Sky but I am not sure if that bar was open just before games or open all the time
  7. Well done everyone for getting everything resolved
  8. very good point and let's face it the jhs is big enough to accomadate this
  9. i would have no problem for the Celtic fans to be in the jhs and thistle fans in the ns and main stand for the Celtic game.
  10. Congratulations WJ on this great milestone! Was the game at Firhill or Cathkin?
  11. I think scully will be on loan next season then he returns to challenge fox or Gallagher then basalj would be out on loan if he is still here. Think fox still has to do a bit more to convince he is completely an SPL standard keeper
  12. Great news - Well done Stuart
  13. The article of course could have been misquoted. You will not be surprised to read my friend that I dont entirely agree with you. I personally feel he contributed more than Buaben (who had the benefit of a good couple fo years Premier League experience) Also dont think for what his was his first year in the premier league he was just as good as Craigen, Piccolo, Balatoni, Fox, Lawless, Elliot and Muirhead whose first year in the SPL it was as well and you could say there is room for improvement for them as well. I should add that for some reason I feel Lawless gets a hard time from some our supporters - lets not forget 5 goals in a fist season in the SPL where he has not played all around the time is not that bad. Although it was also Doolan, Bannigan and Fraser's first year in the SPL they all adjusted really well under the circumstances
  14. just to add in similar thoughts. I've already signed petition and well done to Adam and the others for their hard work in getting it set up. I'm wondering if there's any value in a third petition stating that people will renew season tickets centenary funds etc when the north stand decision is reversed. This might illustrate perfectly to the board just how many season tickets they stand to lose unless they do reverse it.
  15. excellent email wj - there's no name calling etc just sticking to the facts and making very valid points - good work
  16. Where did you hear all this mate?Like I said Taylor Erskine and Cairney plus extended contracts for key players would be priorities before Prince for me. Im surprised that Hearts would take on Erskine on with Levein just in the door yesterday I thought he would be taking a good look through the club for a couple of weeks before he started signing new players
  17. aye I'm sure he did just he would need to shout very loud from ibrox to be heard at firhill
  18. eddie prentice was involved mate and seemed to be paid handsomely for it and was rumoured to be paid £35k to preside over the shambles. However I don't think he has any involvement now
  19. well said as I said on the season ticket thread I wouldn't know you guys from Adam but the benefit on and off the park to the home support in the ns is clear which really has therefore left me astonished at a decision which I cannot for the life of me see any benefit too. Petition has been signed
  20. Il be holding off renewing mine till the board back down on the north stand. I sit in the jhs have never sat in the north stand as I can't sing to save myself. Furthermore I only know really well about 2 people in the north stand. I don't really know Dave have never met Ian and dare I say have had my share of arguments with plenty of them about players, managers, different aspects of the club - only to be expected on the forum. In the last couple of years partick thistle has been moving forward in a great way due to many many reasons both on and off the pitch and one of the many reasons has been the success of the north stand which I truly believe has helped to the firhill experience for the fan and equally important to the players on the pitch. As already said I know only a couple of people in the Nstand and don't know the lads Dave or Ian other than through the forum. I don't need too as like everyone of us know they only want the best for partick thistle The decision to move the home support in the ns to me seems to be astonishing and in no way of benefit to partick thistle as I say season ticket on hold till decision reversed as us gold centenary fund membership
  21. Great thread and can only echo what others have said many thanks Tom and Brian
  22. While this is positive Martin, his decision on the NS really has put a dampener on this good news
  23. I dont think McMillan and SOD have caused us any more goals than Gabby. Dont think there is that much of an age difference either
  24. I cant see Killie successfully replacing Boyd. Also think they may need to make cutbacks they spent money foolishly again such as buying Eremenko and more than hoping they would get the rewards on increased attendances which did not happen. Also think ICT may struggle dont think John Hughes is going to take them forward
