  1. Those 3 are decent players but Thomas or for that matter Turner would be an upgrade on the 3 of them to be honest. 2 of them are also contracted only till the end of the season as well
  2. It’s been reported today that Dundee United are not pursuing Thomas. Of course who knows if there’s truth in whether we are linked or not
  3. I’m hoping him being Glasgow based would give us an advantage
  4. Yeah I think Sneddon will be on same as Mitchell- both are considered to be number ones and due to his length of service I think will be the same. I do agree with you he will be on less than Bannigan, Graham and Lawless but as I say think he will be on same as Mitchell
  5. Sneddon was offered a 1 year deal yes. He was offered same time as Bannigan. Do you think Bannigan is on pennies? Sneddon has been here 6 years do you think he is on pennies? Your comment about take it or leave it contract makes little sense as pretty much every player is offered a contract and will either take it or leave it
  6. Given Sneddon has been here for over 6 years I doubt very much he is on pennies at all. Likely on a very decent wage. Graham and Bannigan got contracts extensions when money was allegedly tight- do you think they are on pennies?
  7. Giving some of his howlers lately Sneddons position of number 1 should be getting seriously looked at.
  8. If we could get Ashcroft in as CB then this would definitely be a possibility
  9. Mitchell is a better goalkeeper and we were 20 minutes away from winning promotion. He wasn’t to blame for Tiffoney and Bannigan missing open goals
  10. Very good result and Doolans is doing great. But the keeper situation needs addresssd. While he. Is apparently injured currently Sneddon should have been dropped weeks ago for Mitchell. Sneddon is an average keeper who in 6 years has barely improved- he needs to stop getting his contract renewed. If Mitchell is getting moved out the club in January then this is a mistake
  11. Can we loan McCall back for a month
  12. Was it not suggested over the summer that medical staff at clubs couldn’t sign him off with concerns over his heart?
  13. That was only a couple of months ago. I’m guessing the £50k or so went towards keeping the club running/reducing debt etc
  14. Very possibly or more than likely went to towards reducing the massive debt we had accrued
  15. It’s been mentioned on numerous football forums that the teams in the playoffs be it us or any other club make next to nothing from the playoffs. the SPFL takes the lion share to compensate for the likes of the teams that get relegated from the premier league etc
  16. Next to nothing really going by what WJ and others have said
  17. If didn’t generate much extra cash. The SPFL take the lion share of money with the home team retaining about 20 per cent of the gate
  18. Completely agree. The loan to Ayr has been great for him. As you say whether we can or not will really depend on Anton and Kris. Hope they can put any differences aside and get it done
  19. I suppose Airdrie to an extent we’re hampered with not knowing what division we were in though not to the same extent as us. Generally happy with how things are progressing. Mistakes have been made and recruitment was not particularly good although there were factors in that. However starting in 24 hours Doolan has a chance to show he has learned the mistakes he made over the summer in terms of recruitment
  20. The £500k investment came outside the transfer window. Who knows if any of it is likely to be spent on players but even if some of it is then we will not see the affects of that for at least another 24 hours. It might be that none of it is for the transfer window. But it’s a fact that it was not there last summer when the window was open
  21. It’s been said elsewhere that he is signing for Hamilton Accies
  22. It’s not an exact like for like To be fair the results last year had us sitting in 5th though. That’s unlikely to happen after these games . I also recall us losing 7 games in a row which was far from ideal. That hasn’t happened and hopefully won’t happen this season
  23. Fair enough BR Defensively he is very weak although that’s not his main position and those whose main responsibility it is to defend have on a number of games proven to be weak as well
  24. Fitzpatrick was not on his way out under McCall. McCall planned to extend Fitzpatricks, Lawless, Dochertys, Holts, Turner and Tiffoneys contracts before being told there was no money left due to the massive overspend. Amazing how Fitzpatrick appears to be the main blame for defeats. Yes he was poor last night but him and Lawless were still our most dangerous players. I wasn’t impressed by any of our players last night barring Lawless Also does anyone really think Fitzpatrick went out to deliberately put in a poor performance on his 100th appearance when he was talking about before the game how proud he was to have reached 100 appearances As for the rank rotten last year comment- complete over reaction. Do you think so many fans would have been delighted at him signing a new deal with us if he was? He had decent games and some poor ones. If it wasn’t for his goals against Arbroath that got us to a decent payday against Aberdeen in the cup and in particular his goal against Dunfermline in the Scottish cup which got us literally a club saving payday against Rangers then I hate to see how much more of a financial mess we would have been in
  25. While mcginlay can be recalled by his parent club, McDonald signed a 1 year deal so is unlikely to want to move on
