  1. We need to play players that can beat a man. We've got far to few of them playing at the moment. Fraser needs to play. Lawless needs to play. Amoo needs a kick up the arse. Miller needs replaced, no idea why we signed him.
  2. I can't find the highlights on Youtube anymore, they seem to have stopped them this season, or can I just not find them? Can someone please post a link to the page? They used to go live at 6pm on a Sunday so I'd watch them and ditch Sportscene. The interviews are so sh!t and usually involve "Can Hearts get top 3?". "Will Celtic win the league?". "Will the Jags finish bottom?" Lowest denominator stuff.
  3. Don't know how anyone could say they thought Miller had a good game, he got caught with the ball inside the channel 4 times, was lucky to get away with two stick on fouls, and needlessly hoofed the ball out the park when we were desperate for someone to put their foot on the ball. One interchange in particular with McDaid where he leathered it out for a bye kick from almost the half way line when McDaid was barely 5 meters away. I was pretty disappointed to be honest. Looks more like a midfield player than a full back, would rather have Eliott in there.
  4. Celtic Aberdeen Inverness St. Johnstone Dundee United Hearts Dundee Motherwell Ross County Partick Thistle Kilmarnock Hamilton Accies
  5. We have first option to buy with a pre-agreed fee. That's what Maxwell said. So it comes down to 1) Whether we can afford it and 2) Whether we can agree personal terms.
  6. Armageddon 2. The sequel. Strap-line "This time it's biased"
  7. Beating the knuckle draggers and keeping them in the Championship would be a dream come true. I truly despise Rangers, the only folk that want to see them go up are the media and Celtic fans (even though they'll tell you they don't).
  8. The reason crowds are down is because last year everything was shiny and new. This year, we're now into the drudgery of four games against mediocre opposition. Let's face it, supporters don't decide whether or not to go to a match because of a £2 ticket increase. If you're a Jags fan, you LOVE the Thistle. You go because you're desperate to see the one you love be successful. The problem is that there's just not that many of us... I honestly believe the most effective way to increase crowds is by targeting the youth. Give them free entry. Incentivise them by allowing them to meet players. Giving them memberships and the like. Stirring in them the love we have, and making them an addict for life, like the rest of us.
  9. I reckon he played Fox because he expected him to have to play a sweeper role. Which he did do a few times. Gal can't do that. Celtic got in behind us a few times and Fox came to meet.
  10. Did anyone see the pitch at the Queen's game, looked great. Better than Killie's.
  11. The pitch at St Johnstone was even worse... Freezing conditions and undersoil heating destroy the pitch. And grass doesn't grow for 5 months during the winter. I'd rather a plastic pitch than playing on that....
  12. We need to find a way to get Fraser into the team. I think that was one of the key reasons he played Stevo up top yesterday, to allow Fraser to play. For me, Bannigan needs dropped until he gets his hunger back. Fraser should come in. I'm not convinced we need two sitting midfielders, Osman is more than capable of winning enough ball in that space. The problem is his passing, he needs someone close to him that can take the ball on and do something creative. That should be Bannigan, but he's miles off his game at the moment, so the responsibility should fall on Fraser. One things for sure, we're not dominating the midfield, I think that's why we're resorting to long balls.
  13. Yes the pitches are playing a factor in his passing, but he's lost his braveness on the ball. He just doesn't take any chance to pull players about. It's all gone so one dimensional in the middle of the park. I've got no complaints against Osman, he still wins a lot of balls, but he needs someone beside him who can then take the ball off him and play a good pass. Really frustrating.
  14. Who is the imposter calling himself Stuart Bannigan? I can't help but feel Bannigan is central to our poor form. There's no football being played in the middle of the park. He needs dropped.
  15. That was a fantastic game of football, played at a incessant tempo and with everyone in a Jags shirt fully committed, tackling hard and quick, and moving the ball early. Doolan got the service he needs. I lost count the amount of times we got behind Hamilton out wide, with a big diagonal switch. Hamilton are so narrow at the back, it's defintely their weak point and we picked them off all night. A special mention fior Doolan, he thrives on the ball coming in from out wide, when we've got in behind. If we don't get high enough up the park Doolan isn't the goal scorer we know he can be. We need to remember this. Everyone was excellent, including Craigen. Elliot, Stevenson, Doolan were the stand outs for me.
  16. Does anyone know if BRE can play full back? Or only centre half?
  17. Struggling to get my head around the hypocrisy of McNamara after his rant about losing GMS: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30799180
  18. We need someone with both strength and pace. So Scotland is out.
  19. Saying "yeah it's blame Craigen time again" are stupid. Craigen is absolutely part of the problem. When he plays, we have a blunt attack. It's no coincidence when Lawless came on the game changed. Craigen should be nowhere near the starting line up. If he plays. We don't score anough goals. I'm totally bewildered that guy gets a shirt. Why not play Stevenson in the attacking midfield with Doolan up front? When Craigen plays we're just flat up front. Sick of it....
  20. Lazy crappy performance. Merry fecken Xmas.
  21. There's something funny about the login. When I try to login, I'm sometimes rejected even though I'm submitting the correct password. Then, after a few tries, it suddenly works. Anyone else experienced the same issue?
  22. I don't really care about 1 up front or 2 up front. My gut feel 2 up wouldn't work as Stevenson and Doolan are similar players. No, I feel the problem is the lack of goal threat or creativity in the middle of the park, and in particular behind the striker. Bannigan, Craigan, and Osman won't get many goals a season. In fact they're rarely even in the box. Obviously we need a striker that can get in behind a defence. That opens up the space for the likes of Higgy and Lawless to benefit. Need to play out best 11. And at the transfer window, we need to a striker.
  23. Loads of endeavour, particularly first half. No attacking threat. One shot on target in 90 minutes, and that came from a centre half. We need a striker and an attacking midfielder. Why does Archie start Craigen over Fraser when we need goals. Craigen gives us nothing going forward.
  24. That victory was build from a good shape and a solid defence. Stevenson, apart from his two goals, and a 5 minute spell after he scored his second, was still fairly rubbish. He's not the answer to our striking problems. Frans and Seaborne were once again excellent. The back four worked really well as a unit, and Carroll seems more positional aware with Seaborne alongside him. My main criticism today was, similar to the Aberdeen game, Hamilton were able to find the too easily feed the ball into the feet of the strikers. Osman and Bannigan have got to be better aware of the movement of the strikers so they can intercept or discourage the pass.
