I can see your point and I've already said I don't like Caldwell, don't think he's the right fit for the club and I think he thinks he's better than he is. However the squad we had was an absolute ******* disaster not only was there too many duds signed but there was absolutely no balance to the squad either. Archie made am absolute **** of it. The Coulibaly signing should have showed we were serious contenders to go straight back up. I don't know what the script with lawless was but if it's true he didn't want to keep him that was a huge mistake also. The board ****** up also Keown, Storey and Barton not having relegation clauses was ridiculous. Keown looked a different person because he had a contract sorted, when he was only on a short term deal he looked as if he would jump In front of a missile to protect our goal. What a difference a year makes, if you asked any1 last season if we should keep either Keown or Devine everyone including myself would have put Devine straight on the chopping block yet he seems to have actually performed pretty well for dunfermline this season, the fact they have 2 players we deemed not good enough just shows how quickly things change. I like the players Caldwell has brought in I feel there is a like for like improved in most of them.. but remember he probably didn't have a great deal of money to play with there must have been money wasted with Ntwambe and Mutombo. He's managed to bring in Anderson and McDonald (imo our 2 most influential players) and offload Keown and Bell until the end of the season. Harkins was a brain fart signing, not been overly impressed with McMillan but he's a better defensive option than we had before. Spittal has improved massively since Caldwell came in since Caldwell came in. My only other qualm with him is Fitzpatrick not starting more games.. he is young and maybe Caldwell thinks playing him is risky but he's the kind of player that can win a game on his own. I'm no happy clapper for Caldwell but there is definitely improvement in our squad. I hope he keeps us up and he change my dislike of him next season.

I don't like Caldwell and he wasn't who I wanted as Manager either .. but i dread to think where we would be at the moment if he hadn't improved the squad in January. I don't agree with a lot of what he has done but it's 4 games to go and he's not going anywhere. Archie would no doubt still be wanting to give the likes of Ntwambe etc a chance and stuck with our defensive duo Keown and Mcginty. Not to mention Cammy Canny move Bell. Don't like him but I have to say this is an absolutely crazy league it's so unpredictable it's unreal. 5 teams that could potentially finish bottom with 4/3 games to go. They need all the support they can get at the moment imo. We couldve ended up way Jim McIntyre also ....

I dont fancy the possibility of getting Raith in play offs either to be honest, I have only bad memorys playing against them.

After his appeal etc got rejected I didn't think Coulibaly would be allowed to be on the bench for us ? Haven't teams been chucked out of cups for having a ineligible player as a unused sub?

McDonald was outstanding today, him and Dools really suit playing together. Thought Spittal and Banzo were really good today and Shea Gordon had a good game Aswell think he offers more mobility in the middle of the park than Slater. Big Connor deserves credit today also, if he hasn't made that save at 0-0 the heads could have went down and it couldve been a very different day. Had a great wee day in Greenock. Wee Greenock neds also deserve a mention as they are hilarious.

Agree with most people's views this loss can be put down to Caldwells team selection and Tactics.. fair play to Inverness they seen our weakness and took full advantage of it. Wee Mcdonald was brilliant tonight but spent most of his time trying to put attacks together rather than being in the box to finish anyrhing off. I really don't understand what Caldwell was thinking looked like a 4 4 2 diamond with McMillan supposedly being some sort of defensive midfielder.. he was completely out his depth. And to be honest I'm shocked that penrice wasn't used there before McMillan as I think it would have worked far better. Really disappointing night and I can still feel the ******* cold.

Absolutely fantastic result today, hopefully a wee run of wins again the sooner we are out of the bottom 2 the better.. Roll on Tuesday

Know something Harkins was honking first half but second half I thought he done his job pretty well. Most likely big ipekeuzu was ****** but Harkins stuck to his task.

We were well on top towards the end if a chance had fell to Dools or McDonald we could have been through. Why play for a replay ? An extra game is the last thing we bloody need in the position we are.

Without Bannigan we dont have a midfield id move penrice into the middle and switch McMillan to left back and Christie to right back. At least penrice has a slight aggression about him. Push Harkins further forward or take him off. .. Mansells had no chance so far, getting zero support of bring McDonald on.

We are absolutely rotten.. It's a miracle it's only 1-0. Bullied all over the park.

Think the decision to replace Canny be Arsed moving Bell with a more Athletic keeper has made more impact that not enough of us have givng credit for also.

3 away wins on the trot and 2 clean sheets. Players confidence must be sky high looking forward to the challenge next week, think it will really show if we are ready to push for play offs or if it's just a wee bit too soon for us.
