  1. I don't either. I know a lot of people here do, and I know this is slightly off-topic, but if someone could PM me the details that would be great. Always wondered since he left - and I've got an idea - but would like to know for definite.
  2. I disagree. IF Jackie left, I wouldn't want to see Archie taking over with us so close to promotion. He's got no experience and I would go as far as saying appointing Archie would surrender our title push. Someone like Bollan would come in, I'd imagine. But, I've got renewed hope that Jackie won't leave us anyway.
  3. Disappointed to learn this morning that Houston's left. I've thought for a while now McNamara won't be at Firhill for much longer, ie. leaving at the end of the season or at the end of next season (if we were promoted). Now there's a real chance he could leave mid-season and that would cause a huge dent to our title hopes. I wouldn't begrudge Jackie a move in the summer, and ideally would like to see him manage us in the SPL too, but for him to leave now would be a massive blow. Hopefully he won't. At the beginning of this whole saga I thought McInness would be a cert. I find it strange that he's not really in the picture and that it seems to be between Jackie & Pressley (& Billy Dodds if you heard him on Saturday ).
  4. Bannigan was fantastic, what a player he is. Thought Erskine tried his heart out today and controlled our attacking play - particularly in the second half. Balatoni made an error for their goal, it happens. When you bounce back by scoring another great goal and then continuing to have a fine game thereafter, it makes it a little easier to forgive him, though. His distribution from the back is also first-class. Wasn't too keen on Welsh at right-back, to be honest. And Archibald gave me a few heart-in-mouth moments, particularly a sliced clearance that fell straight to their striker. Forbes was OK, didn't see much from him that would allow me to echo the previous comments that he had a great game. Despite grabbing a goal, don't think Craig was at his best. He plays on the shoulder of the defence and so naturally was offside a fair bit. Paton was his typical self, giving 100%. Sinclair was alright. Craigen (Craigen that is, with an E - learn our player's names lads! ) started well but drifted out of the game by the second half. Fox didn't have much to do really. Was really hoping we'd score from the corner the referee conceded!
  5. Muirhead has been excellent at centre-back. The other two have been great, but let's not forget how great Muirhead's done in there just because it hasn't happened for a while. I'd go with the same team except Welsh or Craigen in for the injured Lawless. Maybe Doolan in for Craig, too. Don't think Muirhead's back for this? According to this anyway - http://www.milngavieherald.co.uk/sport/home-is-where-the-points-are-for-determined-thistle-1-2756891
  6. One game at a time, folks.
  7. potty trained's head's about to explode here. Answer this, do you think Bannigan (someone who's proven himself to be extremely versatile) can't play right-back? It's just a suggestion based on people not wanting Paton to drop out of midfield - and thinking Bannigan is the next best option because of how well he fitted in at left-back and that he's fairly two-footed. You might not agree with it, but you seem to be having trouble around the whole concept which is strange. I want Paton at right-back, by the way.
  8. I'd go for the same team except for Erskine replacing Craig, and then obviously switching with Doolan.
  9. He's contracted until the end of the season. Here's a list of who's played in the first team for us and how long they're contracted until. Regardless of what division we're in next season, I'd like us to start/continue negotiations with a lot of these players. O'Donnell, Fox, Paton, Erskine, Doolan, Craig, even Archie for another year. Maybe Forbes. Players like Black, Campbell, Halsman and to a lesser extent Scully I'm not sure about as I've not seen enough, but Jackie will know by now whether they're able to make the step-up. Final season for Rowser and Elliott. Alan Archibald (35) - May 2013 Jonathon Black (??) - May 2013 Jamie Campbell (20) - May 2013 Steven Craig (31) - May 2013 Kris Doolan (26) - May 2013 Christie Elliott (21) - May 2013 Chris Erskine (25) - May 2013 Ross Forbes (23) - May 2013 Scott Fox (25) - May 2013 Bradley Halsman (19) - May 2013 Stephen O'Donnell (20) - May 2013 Paul Paton (25) - May 2013 David Rowson (36) - May 2013 Ryan Scully (20) - May 2013 Conrad Balatoni (21) - May 2014 Stuart Bannigan (20) - May 2014 James Craigen (21) - May 2014 Steven Lawless (21) - May 2014 Caolan McAleer (19) - May 2014 Mark McGuigan (24) - May 2014 Aaron Muirhead (22) - May 2014 Hugh Murray (34) - May 2014 Aaron Sinclair (21) - May 2014 Sean Welsh (22) - May 2014
  10. In what way is this 'doing the rounds'? Had a brief look for myself, but could only find one match for Paton/Hibs and it was a St. Johnstone fan saying Hibs had bought Paton. However, it was followed by #fm, which clearly means he was talking about THEIR Paton joining Hibs on his Football Manager game. Have you confused yourself seeing the tweet "Hibs has just bought Paton for 70k! #FM" and thinking it was in fact OUR Paton and real life?
