We started well and were on top in first half. Made a few chances but didnt work the goalkeeper. Mensing really should have been sent off by the incompetent referee who to be fair was rank for both teams. After the break it was eachy peachy until Sinclair tried to control the ball at the edge of the area instead of clearing and set up the raith player who was through on Foxy and scored easily. Raith got a lift from that and we were all over the place but for 2 or 3 superb saves from Fox we would have been 3 or 4 down in no time. Creditto the players who kept plugging away and got their reward with Doolans last minute header. raith are a horrible team to watch breaking play up at every opportunity and time wasting from early on in saying that they are good and effective at what they do. Feels like a victory when defeat seemed certain. Bring on the ton

Nice of you to miss out the awful 1-0 defeat at firhill in the scottish cup when we were spl and they were div 3 i also remember a cup tie in 70's where we needed an injury time goal to equalise ( not sure if it was that or a winner) . Think we got to the semi finals that year. Also 4 points from 12 is not a good record against a team that were ultimately relegated

Our record v cowdenbeath as far as i can remember is pretty poor, from what i remember we usually struggle against them. I'll accept a scrappy 1-0 win right now

i would guess 2500 jags fans an maybe a couple of hundred cowdenbeath fans so 2700 it is for me

Crackin performance annd 2 brilliant goals. No failures in the team at all and we maybe shouldve won with a bit more in hand. Livvy are by no mens a bad outfit and they try and play football although the short goal kicks all the time maybe arent a good idea. Special mention for Elliott teriffic shift he put in and he had livvy defence worried with his direct running at them. Roll on next week and hopefully a home draw against sevco in midweek

I got to the ground a little after 2.30. I was served quickly and with a smile,my only complaint is the steakpie could have been a bit warmer

Excellent stuff from Jags today. Dunfermline were very poor indeed cant recall Fox having to make a save of any note. Played some great football today and if Dunfermline play like that every week they will be nearer the bottom than top. Only low point was our inability to kill off an inferior team. Everyone worked their socks off and deserve all the praise and plaudits they will undoubtedley get. Excellent support for the team today long may it continue

Queens had 5 efforts at goal and 4 went in we had umpteen efforts and 5 went in. As was said above crackin entertainment the last ten minutes were crazy.. A few players need to improve on tonights showing but lets not look tooo much on the negative side to win after being 1 down with 3 minutes to go was fantastic

Great start to season an excellent 3 points. Felt we bossed the first half for the most part and were well worth the 2 goal lead. Falkirk got a goal out of nothing really but the boy took it really well and caught Fox napping. They made several chances during the 2nd half so im delighted we managed to get the win as on another day we might not have. Onwards and upwards as they say

Really enjoyed the game altho the ref did try and spoil it. Forfar had a few chances one smacked the bar and fox had one very good save. The penalty was missed by miles and as was said above id have been screaming for one if it was the other way round. We made lots of chances scored 2 very well taken goals, smacked the woodwork 3 times and their keeper madea couple of good saves. We played some lovely football at times and even with 10 men we looked the most likely to score

I Got The Six-ZZ Top

Played some lovely football at times today. O'Donnell and Bannigan worked their socks off up and down the wings. Archie, Muirhead and Paton were solid. Midfield and forwards had lots of chances but had trouble finding the target until Doolan knocked in his goal. Will take a 1-0 win every day of the week. I see Forfar had a crackin result today so it may be tough next week hopefully gettin back to playin on grass will help us

I saw the last 5 mins of celtic game i would reckon about 80-100 celts and i think about 15 of them stayed for final

Would have expected us to be around the 6/1 mark and maybe a tad higher with Dundee in the league. There wasnt a lot between falkirk hamilton livvy and us last season and with dunfermline squad a bit depleted our odds seem fair enough.
