  1. I'm sure Darlington have a few similar ditties. Far too smutty for the refined Thistle fans.
  2. I would think a 1000 is a fair estimate. Took similar numbers to Cappielow and Falkirk. I guess it depends on the Friday night element.
  3. Sorry if asked previously, but if a ticket/s is/are purchased for a particular stand will the ticket have stated seat number or will the bearer be able to sit anywhere within the allotted stand? I'd prefer the former if viable as my Final crew may purchase at different stages of the selling process. Potentially a dozen of us going. One lad has a season book but for work reasons has only made two games with his dad using it on anothet occassion. The rest pay at the gate but the more regular may chip in for a couple of 9 game packages. The rest will probably rely on public sale. I think this scenario may apply to quite a lot of fans. I'm confident we'll get tickets but would rather not be all over the shop. I'm sure 10 of us went to the semi and we all sat in a row. Can't remember if we all bought tickets at the same time.
  4. I was thinking Strachan and Jordan. Now it would be Coyle, Jordan and Stark. Coyle is good with the media, JJ a Scotland legend and Stark could act as a bridge between the full internstional team and the representative squads? Kean? No thanks but that is just my opinion. Neil Warnock has seen his odds shorten to 3/1 He enjoys holidaying in Argylle and Inverclyde but does not strike me as a viable option, nationality aside.
  5. The proposal suggests a playoff place for promotion and relegation as well. So potentally a 60% turnover. The playoff teams would have an extra home game as well. Think I'll let this settle as I have very mixed thoughts. I'll need to take out irrational thoughts i.e. Old firm carve up and see if it will benefit Scottish football as a whole. Also playoff in and out of bottom tier. I must admit I see more good than bad in it at the moment.
  6. Strachan appears to have ruled him self out according to BBC Scotland. Sees his future in club football.
  7. The joy of Saturdays Firhill experience has hardly faded and I find myself facing a Friday trip to the not-to-happy hunting ground of NDP. I haven't seen us win there but this season will be our best chance to achieve a first win there in quite a few seasons. Our players will still be on a high as hopefully the travelling support will as well. A few of the away games have felt a bit flat before we have even kicked off. For every EEP, Livingston and Central Park party atmosphere there has been a Starks park, Cappielow and Falkirk muted away support. Obviously we struggled to some degree in the last three. I'm not sure if there is an element of trepidation as our away form hasn't been good the last few seasons. However our style of play this season should lead to a vast improvement in away form. The great number of travelling Jags fans can only spur the players on during our travels this season. I think we can roar the lads on to victory on Friday with another great support. The away stand at Hamilton should be rocking once we all get in. On the playing front the question over who will replace Foxy will be answered by the best man to do that, Jackie McNamara. I feel we may adapt a little from the line-up against the Pars. Although the starting formation may suit some of our away games against stuff opposition. O'Donnell may benefit in finding space if given a wide midfield role with a licence to roam inside. Looming forward to it and three points are achievable with the Jaggy trinity of a great team, manager and support. Forza Thistle
  8. He did get ejected. Noticed him getting carted away by the police. He obviously wasn't looking to cause trouble but fell foul of the law. Bit of a diddy for missing that game but I hope he is able to make it back to Firhill soon.
  9. He didn't have a chance with the sixth, a great finish by Lukas Justybits
  10. Maybe away clubs should be notified that their fans who use wheelchairs will be accomodated in the main stand. I didn't realise the Jackie Husband didn't have wheelchair access. I know I would be a bit annoyed traipsing to fro between stands in heavy rain. I would think that these issues weren't helped by a large crowd. I am sure we will deal with our next big gate in smoother fashion.
  11. Dunfermline Athletic are still favourites for the title I reckon. #mindgames
  12. He saved a penalty from a young Forbes in the 6-6 draw with Motherwell.
  13. There's only two Graeme Smiths Our new one seems to lose a few goals at times. Five on his Brighton and Hove Albion debut and played in the 6-6 draw between Motherwell and Hibs. Seemed to let in three on his Azeri league debut as well. Overall good experience and will look to get a start on Friday, if fit. I knew Jackie wouldn't hang about. Welcome to Firhill Graeme2
  14. Nothing to stop a fan chipping in with a mate and getting a cup final ticket each, then split the tickets beyween them. Any idea if concession will include unemployed as full season books do? No mention on os when I looked.
  15. Sorry Twinny and Mac my deadbeats remark was in reference to the ugly sisters reserves. With regards to the too many teams, it just isn't viable for half the league clubs to go full-time and the second tier would probably be the ceiling for a lot of clubs, especially a ten team middle division.
  16. Nearly every club in Spain is in debt and about 8 are effectively in administration. There are enough/too many senior clubs in Scotland as it is. No need to shoehorn in the dead beats stiffs, imo. 16 team top and second division. Pyramid and regional league below. One organisation. The SPL is finished as far as I'm concerned. Damn did I actually agree with Chuck Green on a point there It is only a proposal at the moment, but it has more bad than good points at the moment.
  17. Someone said 550, but there must have been a 100 who were decanted from the Jackie Husband as it was nearing capacity or at least seats for folk wanting to sit together.
  18. Scottish cup semis scheduled for 17 March, so not an issue. Got info from programme.
  19. About 4,200 members of the Red n Yella Army
  20. We also seem to be missing the point that Academical are mince and a lot of their fans aren't going back for various reasons, including being fed up witb wee Billy. Excellent chance for Jackie to assess Scully in the league this season.
  21. From Jags fan on P&B. Just make the good folk of OneThistle aware of it. I appreciate it may have been raised already. "The only thing that annoyed me about Saturday (and this is a post that's more suitable for wearethistle but I don't post there) was before the match. I picked out two seats for my Dad and I that weren't marked at all, only for someone to come over and say we were sitting in his season ticket seat. Fortunately there was a spare seat next to us so we just shuffled up one, but with such a big crowd if we'd had to go in search for new seats we'd probably have to make do with sitting right at the front. It's November for ****s sake can we not have all the season ticket seats stickered? Mon the Jags. "
  22. Nah, we'll just smash up their stand to annoy their BNP supporting stadium director and the rest of their sevconian sympathising board. Joking by the way. A few sevco lovers and a couple of facists won't stop me from watching my team
  23. The pie and a bottle of beer option seemed to go down well last season. A more social club feel would be good and could lead to it be open for things like quiz nights. Queens Park seem to run a good club even though it is housed in a block of porta-kabins. Also sells West St Mungos at reasonable £2·60 a pint.
