  1. I'll swap him for my League Cup final 1971 programme
  2. I think he'll be happy to get match fit and get in the shop window for january. Two boys livi signed recently are playing for expenses and win bonuses. It could be a win-win for both parties imo.
  3. I notice Roy Rich neglected to mention a roof to go with the seats being put in the away end terracing.
  4. Excellent result. How did Aaron play?
  5. Forgot to mention that we're on a stunning two match unbeaten away from home, run
  6. I really think the Warriors are going to miss Firhill for matchdays. Scotstoun showgrounds is totally without atmosphere, the new meadowbank imo.
  7. Away trips have that unpredictable edge to them. Alter form of transport, pub visited and where you watch the game from. This means you end up talking to many different Jaggoes and swapping stories and the like. Some might rub you up the wrong way but overall there is always something interesting happens on away trip. If only it was the result more often

    Paul Paton

Paul's mobility seems to be impaired from his ankle injury. I watched the youtube of the Annan lc game a couple of seasons ago and he sprinted up the wing like a whippet. I think the effect of the injury has curtailed his forward play a lot. He is still sound defensively and can cover the central defence. His distribution has been poor this season despite getting into positive positions fairly regularly. I think he would prefer to play with O'Donnell in front of him. Chris Erskine starting on the right does not ever work imo. Fair enough as an impact sub but not for the full game. We're a 1/3 way through the season and things have slowed and most lingering hopes of a promotion challenge have been extinguished. However I think we are capable of a top four place. That is if we can start getting more chances to our forwards. There lack of service is affecting their confidence when they get a half-chance. Doolanhino has looked the most likely to score if given a shot. Stewart has missed a few sitters and Christie maybe needs a couple of games coming off the bench. Culter could be a good morale booster if they can all get amongst the goals. Today my cup is half full
  9. I feel the Therapy Room should be open for all Thistle fans
  10. 1.30 ko, sack that. We should get a bye into the next round. I'm all for well managed non-league clubs but these two deserve hee-haw.
  11. No need for that, Pat flips a great burger
  12. Lest we forget. Great post Stu.
  13. Seems stingy. In fact I don't see why we don't get a bye. Aberdeenshire tight wads, hope we bump a few past them Goals and fans. I fancy behind the fence at one of the goals. Bring yer wellies, but don't frighten the sheep
  14. Doolanihno in the right game. In fact I would fancy one against Cooter
  15. Makes the club's offer of travel, ticket and a packed lunch of £30 very appealing imo
  16. Good luck to Ian. Hope he get's his career back on track.
  17. Offiong is a proven scorer at this level. Not sure if we have space in the squad or the necessary budget to sign him.
  18. You'll be on our board with that kind of salary
  19. Good stuff Jim. True, making folk aware of the product is a big one as well as getting people feeling part of the club. What about a ub-40 gate for these troubled economic times. I remember we had one in the 80s. It's better we get £10-12 off someone than people not wanting to go to the game. I know when I've not been working £15-£17 is a lot of money to justify. Thinking hat on. Cheers, James
  20. Rinky dink linky - pleasing....
  21. Jim where you behind the bring someone to firhill game? Could be reprised. I try to make as many games as possible. Used to be a good crowd of mates went back in the 90s and early naughties. However peoples' priorities change and coupled with a lack of end product it's hard for some folk to give up a free saturday afternoon to watch the Jags. Only about two show any interest and sometimes call the, "well we could get lunch and a few drinks for £51 (+pie/ bovril money) argument. Most of the folk I know that went to the Morton games were from inverclyde, but have lived in Glasgow for many years I guess the bottom line is success on the pitch get's bums on seats, whether bird dirtied or not
  22. Good info Bunny. I think we may see Robbo in midfield once Kyle goes back to the dark-side m'lady. Positive in that we'll have competition for places and maybe alter games with tactical substitutes rather than just like for like gambles. I appreciate this is largely do to the squad being stretched recently.
  23. We could raise false hopes in the meantime?
