Turned out to be an entertaining match. When Doolanihno and O'Donnell went off we seemed to lose any spark, until the late, late equaliser.
First half we dominated possesion and kept the Bairns on the back-foot right up until their breakaway goal. It's a game of bawhairs as with a little more pace on the ball Dools should have scored from Sincalir's excellent cross. Imo this was Aaron's main contribution to the game. Thought he was a bit off the boil but kept plugging away. I was right up at the away end and couldn't tell if mcgovern got a hand to the header, but if he did it was a great save.
Falkirk seemed to have decent players but created little going forward in the first half, one chance, one goal They were still sitting in during the second half but had more space to go forward.
Jags shaded first half play and possesion but being a goal down that meant little at the time. We came out like a storm in the second. When we hit the post again I was thinking it wasn't going to be our day. But up stepped the Rowser to smash it home and go Radio Rental
We were firmly on top and had a coupleof shouts for a penalty. We seemed to then lose a bit of steam and the double substitution took place. I would have been happy with one one at that point. Then Falkirk went on to equalise with a well struck but not unsaveable freekick. Game-over? Thankfully not. Despite Stewart passing up a great chance Erskine rescued a point at the end.
Overall we seemed to be missing a little. We dominated possession but had little chances compared to recent home games. I think this was down to brown gloves having his team sitting in coupled with a switch to a more traditional 4-4-2. This is quite a defensive formation in the modern game imo. Still happy to get a point but was a game we should have and could have won.
Fox was ok but didn't do well at either goal imo.
PP distribution mediocre but got forward well and defended when required.
Sinclair wasn't on fire today barring great chipped cross for Doolan's header that ended up off the bar.
Hutton was class and stuck to his task well
Conrad was ok overall but was all over the place for the opener
Archie was decent but gave away free-kick for Falkirk's second goal.
Cairney did some silly giving away of possession that could have cost us dearly. When not *****ing about he put in a great shift and was unlucky when pulled up for handball when clear on goal in the second half. A greatly improved player this season.
Rowson had his best performance imo in quite a while. Great goal and great celebration. Think he's sponsored by Duracell.
Doolan ran the channels and was unlucky not to score. Not on fire yet but just needs a break. Did as much as Farid imo
Christie put in a good shift. Never got much service but kept going.
O'Donnell was ghosting by Bairns for a good hour. Maybe final ball was a bit off today.
I think we were just missing a spark today. Not sure what it was down to as effort and commitment was not an issue. Could have been the formation as the two forwards got very little service considering we must have had 60-65% of the ball.
Falkirk will have mixed feelings. Would have taken a point before the game but then losing a late leveller to a team struggling to break them down must have been annoying. Good.
Good game but felt like two points dropped overall. Not in the 95th minute right enough.
All imo of course, and breathe......
