    Correct,covers only protect the grass from the frost,USH definitely needed three days before game .

    I might be wrong but estimate cost of around £5,500 for USH if we turn it on on Wednesday for game (figure pulled from web).Surely a small price to pay ?.

    The other positive about USH is that you can negate to a certain extent fixture build up .One has only to cast their mind back to last season’s woeful run of games in hand !…get it on !

    Can’t see the point of having USH if we don’t use it ,especially now with good feel factor returning and big(gish) crowd on Sat .Would be highly surprised if it’s not switched on midweek .

    Two wins ,a draw and two clean sheets out of last three….turned the corner ? …no sure given our injury list on and off the park .However, following the response by players and fans alike to that magical ,madcap moment at the end of yesterday’s game that ,hopefully, might be the spark to get back on track .

    Dowds now out along with Tiff ,Doc and Holt. Banzo on the bench and Smith starting .Unless there is on masse stepping up to the plate I fear the worst .Would rather we give Lyons and Weston a start .

    Yes have never been the same without Anderson,Wakeman ,Squire and White so very much winnable.

    Thought we were comfortably mediocre against a poor Kelty (exception being their #22) with result never I doubt and could have been easily 5 or 6 for us .Younsters Lyons and Weston looked nippy when they came on ,unfortunately Cammy Smith showing why he does not get a start .Hope big Dowds is ok after his knock and back at it next week…took his goal well .

    I’m a great fan of mixing it up with free kicks outside the box with the occasional low,hard hit fizzer not knowing where it’s going to end up …although in this case not sure it was meant .

    We’ll play better and lose but glad to see we’re slowly rediscovering the craft of winning games and showing a bit more spirit …big Graham really is the difference , took his goal well but missed a sitter in first half .

    If we keep our shape ,as we did in first half against Dundee,and have either Tiff and/or Graham back we may be in with a shout of a point and hope Accies do the biz tonight.

    It’s no coincidence that our goal keeping form has dipped with the loss of Holt. Without a solid CB in front of lesser keepers you are always going to badly expose their weaknesses .With Holt out till perhaps Feb a solid keeper is badly needed in Jan window.

    From what I could see and hear our fans gave as good as they got .We all are capable of over reacting in the heat of the moment and can only assume we would be prone to a bit of GIRUY going 3-2 up after being 2 down .

    Nothing much more to say in another disappointing Jekyll and Hyde game of two half’s, one competent and one bowfin . On a positive I thought the Hospitality was top notch with an excellent Brain Welsh as compère ,Joe and Stephen Craig as former player guests and two tables of well behaved Dundee fans adding to the atmosphere .
