  1. Very little wrong with this West of Scotland rugby top for the new Jags home top. Not keen on the shorts or socks, though.
  2. A brilliant addition. Stu's site just gets better and better. The photo of Jags vs Unknowns is terrific; what a view of the shed before the shed existed!! Or I think that's what it is. Anybody know when the shed went up?
  3. It all makes for a very interesting few days ahead.
  4. It's a great view, better entertainment than a lot of the action on the park at times. I hope somebody takes some photos across the bing from the back of the JH stand before something goes up there and we lose the view for ever.
  5. I could understand that, as I think that Maxi has recently been giving interviews to the media and described as "assistant manager". JM is the new buoy (or bhoy) on the block.
  6. That's a good summary. Although more recently we've had a couple of victories away from him, his overall record away from Firhill is rank rotten. I might give him a 7/10, but wouldn't argue with 6.5. I pretty much liked him at Firhill, but strangely I'm not that sad at him going......although it'll be interesting to discover the precise reasons for his departure.
  7. Not a bad shout, though he could probably earn megabucks as a coach down south again. Incidentally, it's clear from Roughie's book that Roughie can't stand him, doesn't think he has much talent.
  8. It would probably depend on whether he was on a contract or not. If it was a rolling contract due to finish this summer. McCall and the Board might well have agreed that he can go with immediate effect, so they save some money.
  9. Looks like attendances might be going up already!
  10. I knew there was a solution somewhere! Let's all belt it out tomorrow.
  11. McCall is part of the reason for the falling gates. It's been a 3-5-year plan every year since he arrived, with some truly awful and prolonged spells of awfulness on the field at times, especially away from home. He's shown very little that would suggest he is somehow a top-notch manager in the making. Managers, like players, come and go. Monra Jags. Looking forward even more to tomorrow's match than I was a couple of hours ago. Edited to add: there is a problem..."Jackie McNamara's Red and Yellow Army" disnae quite roll off the tongue to easily.
  12. Willie-K has been one of our best players this season.
  13. In some kind of twisted way, all the injury problems are making me look forward to the game even more than I normally would.
  14. No. The latest is that the rumour is back on.
  15. Pretty much entire agreement from me. I've highlighted in bold three points that I think are worth emphasizing. First, Erskine did really well to work the space and then try to curl in the ball. Much better than the usual thing we see which is a player simply trying to blast the ball past the keeper and usually it ends up going straight at him. Second, yes, Jackie M is hopefully playing his last season for us. He was basically okay last night, but on one occasion in the first half when he had to race to put the ball out for a shy (which he did) the manner in which his pace over the last few yards declined was dramatic and plain for all to see. Third, the lack of shots was funny/frustrating/tragic. Had to laugh out loud at Cairney receiving the tap from a free-kick and then instead of belting it trying to skip beyond an oncoming defender and losing out completely. There were other examples. HIT THE F*CKING THING!!@!
  16. Ha ha! Now that is brilliantly pedantic.
  17. Some excellent action photies there. Image 5 shows what Grehan and Doolan were up against all night: several players on top of them right away. It was enough to snuff out any real danger from them both.
  18. Even last night Grehan worked hard, though it wasn't really happening for him. However I did notice that he can't get past anybody from a standing start; he needs to be moving already when he gets the ball if he's going to get past somebody. Looking at those highlights, Falkirk could have scored a couple before they did get one back. I for one was happy that the match ended when it did.
