  1. That rings a bell. So that makes them even smarter than I was giving them credit for!
  2. Maybe they even got smart and started collecting after last year's competition.
  3. I used to suffer from a lack of enthusiasm. But now..... Ach, feck it, what's the point?

You're packing them in like sardines there!
  5. I think so too. If the weather hadn't been so dodgy I'd definitely have gone. But the bus + trains combination in the horrible conditions put me right off.
  6. No doubt the ASLs at the SFL will do zilch.
  7. The Bridge definitely looked liked a handful for them in the 1st half. Conditions looked worse than I thought they were. Good surge and finish by Paddy Boyle. In fact, all rather excellent!
  8. Thanks for that information. Sounds encouraging. Great, another way to "squander" money on the Jags. Hmm, you don't come across the verb "to squander" much these days....

    Tartan Army

I really take exception to that kind of crass overgeneralization. I do not consider myself to be work-shy.

Dame Judy Tench does a good version of that.

Somehow (through an error of my own, no doubt), this ended up in the wrong place yesterday (edited to get rid of out-of-date stuff re yesterday's match): Actually, the notion that if you're a Jag, then you're a Jag for life, doesn't seem to ring true. When I was a teenager there were tons of us from Drumchapel who used to follow Thistle everywhere; there would sometimes be 15-20 of us on the old Whiteinch bus before it even got out of the Drum. Nowadays, at best, I see one or two of those guys at matches once or twice a season. I know that many of those supporters from long ago just abandoned football for one reason or another, and they've probably not been to a match of any kind for 30 years. Although they might still call themselves Jags when pushed, unfortunately they're not supporters, and I doubt whether they'd bother too much if another big financial crisis came around.
  12. Not exactly Warriors-related, but a big "Well done!" to Italy yesterday!
  13. Wrong spelling!! Or a deliberately terrible pun!
  14. Again, I wonder how this can be done for Falkirk's away games, if their supporters are more likely to stay at home and give money to the Falkirk tv web service rather than go and pay entry into the away ground. Ah, I see "overseas" supporters specified. So, is the transmission blocked for anyone in the UK?
  15. First time I'd really seen him do a stand-up gig. It was quite short, but he was pretty funny.

It's surprising that Neil Sturgeon hasn't come up with a fish pun Jags-related song yet.
  17. What you're suggesting is simply impossible, in all respects.
  18. Excellent photies. Looks like their keeper saved them from a bit of a tanking.

I wish they would stop too. Some of them are so limpet's excruciating.
  20. And to think we criticize referees and the SFL for late call-offs!!!
  21. Excellent photies, excellent result! Starks Park is definitely a unique stadium. The two end stands are excellent, and for uniqueness the old L-shaped stand takes a bit of beating. Then you have that empty stretch along the length of the park with nothing but houses overlooking the ground, then across the park there's yon odd-looking wee stand that runs along the railway side. If we're lucky, we might end up with something like that in place of the current main stand at Firhill, though we might not even end up with something as grand as that.
