Dick Dastardly
I realise that comparisons may be futile, but I can't think of one of our Scottish team who would be picked for the English one. That is no excuse. It hasn't stopped N. Ireland and Iceland from progressing. How many of the N.Ireland squad would make it into the Scotland team ? How many of the N.Ireland squad would make it into the Scotland team ? There's no way N Ireland or Iceland would have progressed from the group Scotland are in. Well, maybe they'd have made it through the third place play-offs - just like Scotland might still do.
jagfox
Now that unpleastantness is out the way, is there anything Thistle can take tactically or generally from International week? Will Muirhead prove to be our Gareth Wales in a robust 3-5-2/ 5-3-2 formation? Will our performances be more Icelandic than Hellenic? Will we end up with Steven Fletcher on a free come January? Are we destined for a playoff?
Guy Incognito
Even absolute basket cases seem to dig out one or two genuinely world class players once in a generation. When was the last time we had a stand-out world-class player? The closest we've come in the last 20 years is Darren Fletcher and he's spent most of the time injured. That's probably fair comment but even our current batch of players ought to have been good enough to at least avoid defeat in Georgia - there aren't many world class players in their squad.
Barney Rubble
Just back from Georgia. Great country, and lovely people too. Wish the players had showed half the commitment that the fans did. The players failed to show up on Friday when it was most needed. Choosing to belatedly turn up last night was not good enough, and was never going to be good enough against the world champions anyway.
