While I'm glad that he didn't score against us, I wish to point out that Mark Roberts is an eternal legend in the pantheon of Thistle strikers. I'm still of the view that we let him go too early. No coincidence, surely, that shortly after his (premature) departure, our strikers suddenly forgot how to direct the ball in the general direction of the onion bag.

It is even clearer to me now that his value to the club extended beyond his on-field performances; his influence in training and in the dressing room was evidently one of the factors in our better periods under McCall.

The man has heaps of class and another club is presently the beneficiary of this.

I wish him well in everything he is involved in his post-football career.

100% Agree.

50% agree. Marko was brilliant in his first couple of years, but it's weird how that clouds the memory of just how awful he was in the remainder of his time with us.

Disagree. He was unfortunate with injury and never got back to full fitness or any form. That was a shame.

The last striker we had who could properly strike a ball, make himself a yard of space out of nothing and provide the unexpected.

Some fabulous strikes.
