Jeanie D,

Real killjoy stuff in both instances, albeit a band of teenagers at least rushed onto the pitch in '71, good on them! As for the presentation in the tea-room in '81, dearie me. Gen X sorted it out eventually, despite the authorities, and all for the better. The post-Forfar memories of May '92 (and indeed April '01) will live forever.

*****************************

Michael,

Love that! Mind you, we do all live in a red and yellow world, so there's always a wee chance...

*****************************

Jagger,

David is the foremost authority on Scottish historical attendances; draws from all sorts of mad sources like the Hampden Park gate books and was privvy at one time to the official club submissions to the SFL. He's been going out of his way to compile accurate attendances for decades and wrote a book ('The Roar of the Crowd') on the subject!

I think the work you do is absolutely outstanding. Facts, figures, statistics galore and fascinating reminders of our rich history. Many, MANY thanks to everyone who makes the Jags' Archive compulsive reading...

Complete agreement!

In fact I just consulted The Head-to- Head section a couple of minutes ago and quickly found what I was looking for (Don't ask why, but it was a truly appalling, incident-less 0-0 draw on a Monday evening at McDairmid Park in 1997).

No doubt I'll be delving in again soon.
