Steven H
The oldest(?) player on the park ( McNamara) was the only Jags player who looked like he gave a f**k, he wouldnt be doing that because of his love for Thistle he was doing it for professional pride and how i wish we had a few more with that attitude in our team. I'll second that!
northernsoul
We need a leader on the pitch AND off it. McCall just spouts shite and tells us how he'll work on it in training. Does he actually take training or this left to Maxwell? Maxwell takes the training. Just think about that for a couple of seconds. Horrible. "It’s not pleasant being at the foot of the league but I’m more interested in how the league table will look in March than how it looks right now." What the hell is that meant to mean? Honestly? Is he trying to kid himself on and pretend to himself that the situation isn't as bad as it is? Well sorry Ian, I am concerned about how the League table looks now, very very concerned. If that's the sort of attitude displayed by the manager then we may as well be relegated right now. Truly baffling. "Iain Flannigan has a chance at the edge of the box just before half-time. If it is on target it goes in but he put it over the bar. In training that kind of chance goes in" Completely irrelevant and shows how much this guy is clutching at straws when he is going on about a shot that went over the bar. Big deal if it goes in the net in training - it didn't in the match which is what matters. "that gets me back to that lack of belief, a lack of character and fight, that we have at the moment" So it has taken him this long to notice this? Unbelievable. "There seems to be a real reluctance to pull the trigger when we get to the edge of the box. To use the old saying, you won’t win the lottery unless you buy a ticket." Great more tired cliches, the guy has completely lost it.
kni
"We set the team up today both to have a right go at Dunfermline and also to try and contain them." An attacking side to defend? Pathetic! It's the same formation every week. Buchanan and Donnelly couldn't score in a brothel. McCall couldn't run a p*ss-up in his own pub. jlsarmy
McCalls pub failed ,there's a surprise and he no longer has it,the Board should give McCall "gardening leave " if they can't afford to pay him off. Give the job to IAN CAMERON who has done fantastic with the u 19s,he also has a feeling for the club ,knows exactly what P.T.F.C. is all about,he couldn't do any worse than what we've got just now. Sorry but if the rumours are true that he doesnt train the players and spends most of his time in the bookies whilst meant to be "working" surely thats breach of contract or negligation of duties and he should be fired and within our legal right, or has he negotiated a cosy wee contract where he only has to be there at 2pm on a saturday Edited September 26, 2010 by Norgethistle
