I might be wrong, but I get the feeling that in olden times (e.g. when Roughie was playing), keepers would routinely clutch those kinds of shots to their chest. exiledjag Posted April 21 Report Share Posted April 21 I agree with you re what keepers do in the modern game - it's all about shot stopping. In this case though I think it looks like the keeper went down with the intention of holding the ball but fumbled it. I would put it down to the keeper's mistake.
