lady-isobel-barnett
John Yorkston Yorkston wants a 16 or 18-team top division but says a self-preservation society could persuade the top 12 club owners to reject any change If you look at the grounds, there's clubs like us, Dundee, Partick Thistle, even Airdrie, that have the stadium and a lot of us went to the expense of upgrading them to SPL standard Yes, John, we did upgrade and you did what? How the mighty have fallen. Just a reminder if we ever needed one to hope for an away win at Rugby Pk this Saturday.
Hopeless Unbeliever
I thought this would be Harry Redknapp for accusing Man City of 'underhand tactics' in the transfer market.

Its guys like him that have stifled the game in Scotland.
McKennan
Who was it who said in 2004 (and I paraphrase) 'There must be promotion and relegation' then shifted all the goalposts about at the end of the season to make it happen?
Jaggernaut
This is exactly why we should hope for Killie to get relegated. Monra Bairns!
The Earl of Hathaway
People like him make my blood boil. That's almost as bad as Motherwell's reason for voting that Inverness should be allowed promotion. "We at Motherwell beleive in promotion and relegation every season". You couldn't make it up Oh yes you could. 'Making it up' is what the SPL do best.
erzamacaroonbars
Have to admit I would laugh all the way to the Barrier Reef if Killie went down! There are a long list of hypocrites in the SPL, in fact take the ugly sisters, Hamilton, St Mirren and Falkirk out the equation and the rest are all guilty - the self-preservation society strikes again! Duck snort
Falkirk chairman questioning the lack of opportunity for promotion from the 1st!! Didn't hear him worrying about that when they were safely ensconced in the SPL. Still hope they beat Killie tomorrow though. uberteeb
"Ritchie said league reconstruction was vital to the future success of Scottish football. "My main argument is we need more opportunity for promotion," he added. "If that means more relegation then you need to have a bigger league, as you can't have two or three teams relegated from a league of 12." Why can you not have 2 relegation places from a league of 12? Despite all the talk and mommentum behind this league reconstruction idea I still don't see it happening unfortunately.
