phoenix1876
i wouldnt say its his signature goal but what do you think of this maradona vs messi but back to the topic at hand Cantona & how can we forget I remember a goal back in 2001 i think and it was wee paul walker at firhill who took a touch too far and went straight to the keeper, the ball bounced over his foot and into the net. Please tell me someone has that on the net
PaleGreySky
That was Falkirk at home (5-1), and it was a backpass from about 40 yards out.

lennythistle
The one goal you think of first when you think of a player... Suggestions? Has Messi still to score his? not looked at the goals yet but i'm guessing the goals are the following: zidane - volley at hampden in champ lge final. Maradona - "Hand of god" ? That or the second that same day. Van basten - volley in euro final Britton - Goal in scots cup v dundee As for Messi, did he not score a goal in spanish cup couple seasons ago where he beat almost all of the Gatafe side ? I remember a george weah goal for AC Milan where he ran with the ball almost the entire length of the park and scored. King kenny - spain. Archie Gemmill - Holland McKinstry - Clyde
lady-isobel-barnett
Straying a bit here but no matter how good, bad or average a defender was I always remember them for their rare scoring moments and most famous goal. Having been at that game I have but one single memory of David Narey Similarly McQueen's header in '77 (Wembley), Holton '73 (v Czechs) and of course Sandy Hodge at Starks

Fellow Traveller
Carlos Alberto - Italy in 1970 World Cup Final The ball just getting rolled into his path is maybe my favourite pass of all time. Favourite passes maybe not worth a thread of their own, though.
