Fawlty Towers
Hello Folks As you will have seen from the thread started by the admin guys they have not only put together a wearethistle fundraising website but they have registered it with easyfundraising so that all of us who do any online shopping or internet searches can now do so whilst generating additional income for our club. The first thing to say is "thanks" to these guys for the effort they have put in to this and I am sure that we all hope that is a big success! I volunteered to promote the easyfundraising & easysearch side of things and I just wanted to take this opportunity to speak to you about these two schemes and ask for your support with them. Easyfundraising allows you to generate additional income for the wearethistle cause everytime you shop online with a retailer who is signed up to the scheme (Amazon, Play.com, ebay and M&S are just a few of the many retailers who are signed up) as a donation is made by the retailer. The donation is a percentage of the amount you spend but you do not pay any extra, the money comes from advertising fees, etc. Easysearch allows you to generate additional income by making a small donation for each search you make when using their search engine and having selected wearethistle as your cause. At the moment there are 7 people registered with easyfundraising who have wearethistle as their cause (thank you guys) and I would like to think that in the not too distant future we could have a couple of zeros after that seven! I have attached a link to the easyfundraising website and will start to post in this thread special offers, schemes, etc as they come up. Thanks for your support! http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ (Admin - could you pin this thread please).

Vom Itorium
I used Easyfundraising when the Jags Trust was involved and thought it might be the case that I would have to sign up again to get raising money through the Wearethistle campaign. Thankfully it's not as difficult as that as it may have put some off and all you have to do is go into the settings page and change over from the Jags Trust to Wearthistle which I have now done. I would encourage others to do the same if they are already registered and get fundraising through Wearethistle. The Jags Trust is a deid duck, long live the Wearthistle Fundraising Campaign!! A lot of money was raised through the FREE FUNDS section that Easyfundraising has and there was some good offers like the Honda car brochure one where we could use the power of the forum to snap up as much of that free dough as was going. Having had a quick glance at the FREE FUNDS section again there seems another easy option where we could rack up a few quid. If you sign up for GROUPON, where they send you a daily email which includes offers for restaurants, attraction, spa treatments etc they will pay 50p per email address registered to Wearthistle. Easy money and having used Groupon for a while a great way to save a further few quid. Get registering and let's see how much we can make from this freebie. Fawlty Towers
We are now up to 8 people registered on easyfundraising as supporters of wearethistle but we need plenty more of you to join up so please give it some consideration. Vom Itorium is quite right about the free funds section - it can raise a good amount of money and if you are a new user then I would urge you to take advantage of the offers that are available. I have attached a link with some info on easysearch as it is often overlooked. It would not take many people using this on a daily basis ro raise a decent amount of money which is then added to the easyfundraising total. Thanks for your support! http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/how_it_works:_easysearch/
