Jaggernaut
Who else remembers the old Thistle site: "Driftwood"? One of the first to establish a Jags presence on the new media phenomenon of the internet. An excellent effort. But really, OLAS deserves a prominent place in Jags fans' history. Mr Bunny
Who else remembers the old Thistle site: "Driftwood"? One of the first to establish a Jags presence on the new media phenomenon of the internet. An excellent effort. But really, OLAS deserves a prominent place in Jags fans' history. I think it was a guy in the chemistry dept of Glasgow - John McLean (???) I think - that ran it. One of the first to appear after proper web browsers first came out. Died off when he moved down south. Edit - I'm referring to OLAS, don't remember Driftwood. Edited April 25, 2013 by Mr Bunny
ScottyDFA
My god, there's a blast from the past - checking out OLAS using the old Netscape Navigator browser in the computer labs at uni. No wonder my coursework was always late... I don't remember Driftwood. Edited April 25, 2013 by ScottyDFA

One t in Scotland
Plenty old PTFC sites listed here: http://search.evisum.com/dir.cgi?dir=233065 Plug them into http://web.archive.org/ for a stroll down memory lane.

Members Willjag
I've only a vague memory of OLAS and it's of the forum there. Great community at the time and when it started to die, it was the inspiration for Lianne to start PTFC.net. The first PTFC.net forum was modeled on the OLAS forum IIRC. Does anyone remember if it was just a forum or if it was a full site? I didn't have the interent at home in the early days and remember the only time I got to have a look, was once or twice a week for a half hour or so when I visited the office. jaggy
OLAS was a full site. It wasn't a forum as we know it now IIRC, it was all messages in a list and no topics (i don't think) and you had to wait for it be published. I had some right good barneys with some twat called 'Paul the bankie' :-)
Members Willjag
That's right Jaggy. I remember it now. IIRC the messages were quite difficult to keep track of at times.
