Just watched the goals from Saturday's game on sfl tv. For dunfermline's second goal fox saves the initial shoot then dowie is clearly pulled back by a dunfremline player before geggan puts it in. How collum did not think that was a foul is beyond me.

Don't know how Collum or the near side linesman missed it when everyone else in the ground saw the blatant tug on dowie!!

Where are the video highlights? It'd be good to watch 'him' as where we were in JHS we were totally convinced he'd not given goal and they were just looking silly celebrating. His body language looked as if he was standing still and indicating a free kick.

and another thing,

what about the players all stopping at city end in front of JH Stand to give the throw in that both the 'officials' missed. Damned good sports are our lads!

and another thing, :angry3:

What a blooming stupid rule when their keeper doesn't have to leave pitch from an injury especially when our lad had to restart match from centre line all from same 'incident'!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! :wall:

Was referreeing when he was being fast-tracked a few years back. I have no idea what the SFAR seen in him. I think he needed a few years of Junior football to put some fear in him about making mistakes on the pitch. As far as I'm aware, the SFAR haven't fastracked any other young ref's like they did with Collum. Thank ****.

to be fair I didn't think it was a foul on Dowie at the game and I was in the North stand, I just thought he was too slow getting to the ball and he went down easy looking for the foul but seeing the highlights its a definite foul, otherwise I think he was quite fair to us on Saturday, apart from the 7 mins or so injury time we won alot of 50/50 fouls that could have gone either way and he seemed to enrage the Pars players alot so unsure why he's taking so much abuse, the boy Kevin Clancy seems to have came from nowhere to the Spl, or maybe hes bn in the lower leagues for ages but he looks like quite a young guy.

sitting in the JHS we were sure it was a foul. as one we shouted foul and sat down safe in the knowledge that the foul had been given. looking across to the main stand and see the pars fans celebrating eas a bit weird.

he gave the goal, the best ref in Scotland gave the goal.

god help us all

The Scotzine match report summed up both Collum and his performance perfectly in two of the best sentences i have ever read in a match report.

I agree about Collum's refereeing on Saturday & if he's one of the best that sums up Scottish refs!

However, this guy Muirhead at Scotzine has his own agenda. Celtic, Celtic, Celtic then when a bandwagon comes along he'll jump on it for a few days using his 'press pass' - that's always amazed me how a guy that runs an Internet site & self confessed former Parkhead ST holder (doesn't need now he's got his 'pass') gets these things. He's got as many qualifications in journalism as I have, namely none.

His shortlist for SFL manager of the year included Jackie McNamara (ex Celtic player) & last I heard was leading that vote.

He's also let the site be used by a republican sympathiser when his site host took it down.

I know there is at least one Jags fan writing for the site just now but like I said, if there's a bandwagon Muirhead will jump on it. Everything is Celtic. Ask him why he never writes match reports for cup semis & final that Celtic lose?!

I wasn't really commenting on the site as a whole, just those two sentences about Collum's performance.

I do understand that the site favours Celtic, however there have been some very good stories about us on it, pre- and post- McNamara. There will be fewer stories about us next season as we won't be as successful. I have really enjoyed their stories about us this season as it's great to read something not littered with errors from the Press Association or full of cliches and non-stories like the ET and DR.

Not as much as I had thought, but here is the link for all their SFL stories. I might have been mixing up some of their articles with Scotsman articles which also haven't been bad. I have been using newsnow.co.uk for a few years now and it's pretty decent for finding latest/recent news stories.

There seems to be many misconceptions about myself and the site mainly perpetrated by yourself Trotter from what I can see. I will gladly point out all the false claims that you have made about myself and the site. Are you Jaggo by any chance you posts on the Scotzine site and only on Rangers articles?? Your comments are very very similar.

But I doubt you will listen anyway - mainly for the benefit of those who only see your side of the story rather than the REAL truth.

1. What bandwagon have we jumped on? I attended the Thistle game and was one of the first to mention the decision by Collum in the press box. I subsequently typed up said match report before even reading comments from Thistle fans.

2. A self confessed former Celtic season ticket holder? Yes I have never hidden the fact that I am a Celtic fan nor that I did have a season ticket. But it seems that you think I gave it up because I get access to the games for free. Wrong again. First up when I do go to Celtic Park, I pay my way in like any other ordinary fan, I do not have press access to Celtic Park. And I did not give up my season ticket because of said press pass, I gave up my season ticket, because I did not have the money to pay for it and I have other things that my money is better spent on - such as my 16 month old son.

3. I don't have any journalism qualifications that you are right about. However, seven years of working on the site, with most of the 42 senior teams recognising us as a valid media outlet gives us some form of credibility. The Scottish FA, the SPL and the SFL also grant us access to games, press conferences and events. That is where you and me differ from, I put the hard work in as do our contributors to produce a product that is recognised by clubs and governing bodies alike, that is how we obtained our press accreditation. Not by brown nosing.

4. Our shortlist for SFL manager of the year - how does this reflect on me? We did not nominate him - our readers and followers did. Like they did with Allan Moore, Alan Archibald, Allan Johnston and Ian Murray. Just because I am a Celtic supporter doesn't mean I FIX the results - check out another site who produced polls after us and who ended their one this week in which Niall McGinn won every award he was entered in by so-called experts [site staff not fans]. We let the fans nominate and then vote for said winners, we do not go onto forums and post to vote this or that - we only promote on Twitter and Facebook to lodge a vote.

5. So we let someone with republican sympathies write for the site - its a football site not a political site - at no time did his republican political views come out in his articles. And why is it such a problem for a Partick Thistle fan what his political beliefs are? You also fail to mention that we have contributors who are loyalists, nationalists and even a few socialists - but again their political beliefs are of no importance to us when it comes to football [unless it is fascist etc]. The person in question wrote FOUR articles in total for the site - much less than many of the Rangers contributors that have written for the site have. And less articles than our Partick Thistle fan blogger has - will you be pointing out their political beliefs to try and discredit the site?

6. Where is this so-called bandwagon we are jumping on? You are fixated with stating that everything on our site is Celtic this, Celtic that. But fail to mention all our articles covering Scotland, other SPL clubs, the SFL, Junior football and the Women's game. The reason WHY I from time to time have not published match reports of Celtic matches - in which they lose [not to mention win or draw for that matter] is because I write for ESPN - http://espnfc.com/bl.../celtic?cc=5739 - my match reaction pieces are there. The games we cover on Scotzine are games that we actually attend and cover. Whether you or anyone else believes we don't simply watch a game on telly and then do a match report.

You can also ask Partick Thistle how long we have been covering their games - in fact they can confirm that for the past two full seasons we have had access and sent people to the game including photographers. You were bleating on about us last season were you?

If our site is only about Celtic - then why do we have contributors and articles covering all of the Scottish game? Bloggers, student journos and fans who write for our site support - Celtic, Rangers, East Fife, Partick Thistle, Raith Rovers, Ayr United, Morton, Hibernian, Hearts, Aberdeen, Inverness CT, Ross County, Dundee, Dundee United, St.Johnstone to name but a few. In fact our non-Old Firm contributors vastly outnumber those who do write about Celtic and Rangers. Another fact you fail to mention in your posts.

But again what are facts when lies, false claims and individuals own agendas come to the fore eh Trotter?
