£20,000 For A Game?

Just seen on the BBC Sportsday that Macclesfield Town are going to let anyone who donates £20k to the club have ten minutes on the pitch in a league or cup game.

Do you think this would be worthwhile? If two people did that (and we stipulated league cup games only) then we'd probably have funds for one more player.

I'm actually annoyed at you for even suggesting this. People don't pay good money for a ticket to watch a ***** with more money than sense indulge his own ego. The FA should be nipping this on the bud pronto, it makes a complete mockery of the sport. The whole point is you play because you're good enough, not because your rich enough.

They need to raise £100k fast. I don't think this is a bad idea, say there is a millionaire out there willing to help the club but wanting even something as slight as this in return, fair play to them for coming up with this. Also the fact that they're only choosing one person from fit 18-35 year olds suggests it won't be that much of a mockery.

Or do it in the games v celtic, get the equivalent of their gate contribution, and save bothering letting any one of their supporters into Firhill, and as a result ensuring keeping North Stand red and yellow.

What's to stop rich ***** from opposing teams sabotaging games to benifit their own club? You can do a lot of damage in 10 mins. Look at Stevie Fulton...

Exactly look what Celtic season ticket holder Craig Whyte done with £1, can you imagine what wonders he could have created with £20k
