The Jukebox Rebel
Merry Christmas to all the Musical Whisperers. This is my high quality Christmas gift to you all. Don't worry, I've kept the receipt. ...oh I do like to be beside the b-side... "Roadrunner (Twice)" by The Modern Lovers
The Sunnylaw Jag
Merry Christmas to you all too. I was tempted to go with Roadrunner (Once) but I've been trying to get this song on for ages. This is Robert Earl Keen with 'The Road Goes On Forever' which has also been covered by The Highwaymen and Joe Ely. It is taken from an Irish programme that was shown on Channel 4 I think. Nanci Griffith introduces this.
Rid Skwerr
Forever Autumn by Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues taken from the War of the Worlds album developed by Jeff Wayne. Starts with a bit of the narrative story read by Richard Burton, "as the year grows old" seems kind of appropriate at the moment. A good Christmas to you all, Rid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QAf5aE-YMw

The Sunnylaw Jag
Are you sure you shouldn't have posted it as 'Still Too Pissed to Remember' or as I sang along to it in my failed alcoholic serial killers days 'Still Too Drunk To Dismember' ( two bodies is too much in one go, believe me). Anyhoo, on to happier times, this is Legs Diamond with 'Remember My Name' a classic 70's hard rock song from the band from Chicago and not Canada as is the usual. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TV5wEYmPC1M Edited December 27, 2013 by The Sunnylaw Jag

Rid Skwerr
The Rolling Stones, from the 1972 album Exile on Main Street, with Stop Breaking Down. Again I chose the recorded version over some live ones because it just sounds better.

I much prefer this version to the original - it's Run DMC & Aerosmith with "Walk this way" If you don't boogie along with this one you're still hung over! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B_UYYPb-Gk

The Sunnylaw Jag
This is driving me bonkers! Here I am stuck in a wee but n ben in Tighnabruaich (actually it is a villa) watching the gale force winds play havoc with water on the Kyles of Bute and stuck with a dodgy wi-fi connection and my wife's notebook to upload things. Four Times I have tried and finally I have uploaded the song which is Foreigner 'Long Long Way From Home' (apt that in some ways). Anyhoo, Happy New Year to you all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eedm15ZEaEg Edited January 3, 2014 by The Sunnylaw Jag

The Sunnylaw Jag
To paraphrase Charlton Heston "Damn you Yoda, damn you all to hell". Three goes at putting up Warren Zevon and 'Tenderness On The Block' and then you post the Bluebells before me. Damn you. The Jukebox Rebel
Would have liked to have offered The Nectarine No.9's "The Holes Of Corpus Christi" but, alas, You Tube would not oblige. Not to worry, the second finest ensemble ever to have graced Planet Earth will do splendidly. From their "Goo" masterpiece of 1990... The Sunnylaw Jag
Going to shorten this down to one word but I'm sure there's plenty of songs with the word 'Mary'. This is the 4 of us with 'Mary' and a jaunty wee song it is too.

Rid Skwerr
Wanted to go with DJ Onan's 2006 classic "Carnival de Maryhill", but Youtube is soooo behind the times.... Therefore I thought I'd pick another world-wide hit from a little known guitar-basher by the name of Hendrix The wind cries Mary - Jimi Hendrix http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqvU5CVHHmk PS @ Sunnylaw Jag - at least the wind in Tighnabruich will be keeping the midges away..... (they used to have the town crest on a plaque above the bar in the hotel which had the motto "Rainywet Midgeo" )
The Jukebox Rebel
A stone classic. The song is a story of Jesus and Mary from Mary's secret lover's point of view. "Mary" by Lou Barlow
