pink panther
Thought both really stepped up to the plate today, particularly Craigen who was very assured in possession. Watched the game in the Celtic end which was not easy but proud to be a Jags fan tonight. Taylor looks a real handful.
Andynptfc
Agree with that. Thought the both of them gave their midfield the run-around at times. Bannigan finally looked back to his best which couldn't really come at a better time. Thought big muirhead did well also....going to a big stadium, playing infront of a (supposedly) big crowd in a position he's never played before and I don't think he looked out of place. Metz
Have a lot of time for both players. Will they go on to have a big future in the game? No idea certainly hope so and if they do hopefully it's with the Jags. As fans of PTFC we need to be patient and allow them to develop and mature into the players they will be, they are inconsistent at times but when they are on song they are good players. They are an integral part of a young successful squad however some just won't cut it at this level, the more that do though the more success we will have. The challenge that the club and Archie has is to follow up this crop with another if they do we will have sustained success.
The Sunnylaw Jag
I felt that both players had stepped up their game in the Motherwell match, with Bannigan continually looking for the ball and taking on a lot of responsibility in particular. From what I saw of the game this looked the case again, It was also good to see Wilson get a chance and want to get in among things.
Third Lanark
Well done James keep making me eat my words and great to see return to excellent form of a couple of months ago that you have shown you can definetly produce no problem in this league
Trotter
What would've made it easier for both of these players today would've been Muirhead alongside them. However, whatever happens this season, I'm confident both will go on & have great careers hopefully at the club for a long time to come. lady-isobel-barnett
What would've made it easier for both of these players today would've been Muirhead alongside them. Not at the game today so open to correction but I'm sure the above will have some validity. While Stuart is well suited to playing quite deep he's better when there's a Paton or Ossie breaking up play. I think James gets dragged back a lot with Stuart in the holding role. simoncordiner
Bannigan's started playing well again since he moved into defensive midfield. He's just not a attacking midfielder, he's programmed to choose the safe option, instead of take a risk, which you need to want to do in an attacking role. Craigen ain't a defensive midfielder, he's too weak in the tackle. Both back in their best positions and playing well will serve us well in the coming weeks.
