  1. Brittain should follow McCall out of the door. It’s clear that today wasn’t the reason for his sacking and therefor we have wasted a week in getting in a new manager who ideally would have been in situ tomorrow, now we have a rookie heading into a series of three tough away fixtures hoping we can get back into the play off spots. Shambles doesn’t go anywhere near covering it, he couldn’t even organise handing out balls and month old calendars to Ukrainian kids last week and he’s still in a job.
  2. Clearly you don’t understand or appreciate the laws of the game, for it to be a clear red card would require it to be for serious foul play. This would require it to be for “excessive” force, when contact was made his foot was still in the air whilst his foot had to land even although it was on the other players foot to suggest excessively is stretching the imagination somewhat. Whilst I struggle to see a penalty for Docherty I am pretty sure the point Mcall is trying to make is if you make one marginal call how can you not see the other. Neither are stonewall and certainly not the most obvious in a “month”. The ref ruined a pretty even game, the score may well have ended up the same however as another poster has already referenced it amazes me how this sites posts become more active when we lose. If they are ultimately our nearest challengers after the first quarter I am more hopeful we are title contenders than I was before the match commenced.
  3. If McCall thinks we have 14 players capable of competing to win promotion in this squad now next season he can walk. We didn’t even have 14 players worthy of a jersey today to win a game. Smith, Bell, Foster, McKenna, Hendrie, Crawford, Murray and Bannigan plus all loan signings can go now.
  4. Behave, sure he should have done far better with the chance that fell his way than he did but he was far from our worst performer. That was the most insipid performance from a team that you can get which included many seasoned professionals yet you want to single out a guy starting out in his career? I get that you may be hurting, we all are that was rank, but at least be fair the kid showed endeavour, and played to his capability many on the other hand just didn’t turn up and one even got motm. Cradle is rotten but he did more in 20 mins than most in the attacking third combined, why? He applied himself, who else could you say did that, in my opinion no one. Yet you want to single out a kid starting in the game.
  5. First of all we shouldn’t be in the third tier only in Scotland would these decisions be considered appropriate. We can’t stand back and accept this and in my opinion need to respond in two ways firstly support the club financially as much as we can ( I suggest not getting hung up up over £20 quid as a start) and secondly boycotting the rest of the SPFL ie not attending away matches league or cup or supporting paid channels (Sky, Virgin etc) and probably the hardest if fortunate to win SPFL league 3 refuse to accept the league trophy or flag (players can collect medals as individual rewards). We will need to petition the club to accept this but by not doing so we are approving of our fate by default. We have been s**t on too many times in recent years to just accept this and need to make a stance.
  6. History will tell us that there are certain managers that didn't/ don't belong at our club, Bryce, Campbell, Collins, Whyte/Brittain, McLeod, Clark and now Caldwell. Let history guide the board and go for McCall before this clown gets too long and turns more fans off.
  7. That's unlikely today he has alienated McGinty and Scobie. Demotivated Elliott and McCarthy and he has only been there three weeks. The squad was already low in confidence god knows what it will be like now with this clown in charge.
  8. Your clearly focused on results which is only part of the equation, ignoring the fact Lambie one 1 of his first three what do you see that says he should stay?
  9. I was proud to be a Thistle fan and probably deep down still am but have to admit I didn't realise how precious some Jags fans were and this is a prime example of what I mean. There's plenty of seats it holds over 6000 and we attract 2000 just sit in one.
  10. I wouldnt have Bell anywhere near the team he offers nothing to the defence to give them confidence. His kick outs are poor and he doesn't save anything other than routine saves. If a squad is real then Sneddon deserves his chance to claim the number 1 spot.
  11. I would sack him, he has proven to be the wrong choice and there is no point of prolonging it. If anyone can point to any reason why he should be retained other than it's only 3 weeks then let us know what you have seen that the rest of us can't see.
  12. You seem to have avoided the question on if you watched today's game or not? Putting that aside the other question remains would you back this clown or not? Your happy to keep harming back to Archie he's gone do you think Caldwell will get us promoted?
  13. It's irrelevant if I wanted Archie to have more time or not. Do you think Caldwell should be in charge in January?
  14. This sums up the naivety of this clown. Firstly that he will still be here in January, secondly that players will move on easily and lastly funds will be available to replace all that he would like to move on.
  15. The half time decisions were baffling however if that joke of a keeper was anywhere near competent the 3rd and possibly 2nd goal would be avoidable. Sneddon must start next week regardless of other changes.
  16. After today you really are having a laugh. If change us what you craved how are you enjoying tonight? Then again maybe not hurting much as you never had to watch the outcome of those crap and ridiculous halftime decisions.
  17. Let's see if he means that, Aiden probably wouldn't even be in the squad never mind starting if others were fit. Andy has been available for most games yet gets flung on as a right back. Both deserve better and I don't think this charlatan will live up to his post match bluster.
  18. There's no doubt that Caldwell has been left a poor squad in defence however why he felt that he needed to put all chips on red at the start of the second half today is baffling to me. I personally think McGinty is one of the poorest defenders to put on the red and yellow for many a year but to replace him with Elliot is an incredible decision when you have no options but when one is on the bench is unbelievable. The board need to realise they have made a mistake and get rid of this clown before we are playing to less than a 1000 and a laughing stock.
  19. Maybe raw from today but don't be rediculous.
  20. Your worried about the subs yet single out Storey and Spittal who both started? Neither are defenders and as far as I am concerned this is our biggest concern. We can't defend at any level , today was a classic 0-0 however we can't defend for 90 mins. Two mins of pressure where we saw out the danger and yet concede to the following corner just confirms my point. We apply similar pressure but teams don't capitulate the way we do. McGinty, Keown, Elliott can't defend and are a liability that cost us every game. how we improve is not clear but that's Caldwell's challenge.
  21. You might be right but we have had Archie, Davie and Bertie. I'd take any of those starting off before a Caldwell any time.
  22. Matter of opinion but I don't think he was left a crap squad. After two game has he improved them? No we still look poor in defence and can't create any pressure or goal scoring chances.
  23. Can't agree on current form there's probably only Penrice and Banzo that could expect to be regulars in the top teams the rest are lucky to be in ours. They can hide behind the managers but I don't buy that they have been rotten, their fault no ones else's.
  24. If he doesn't improve this team and get us up the table he should go. Archie was replaced as he couldn't get us promoted Caldwell should and will be set the same target.
