  1. The Sena situation is complicated and is linked to a work permit issue. He originally arrived in Scotland on a family permit and still waiting for his own work permit which means he can only sign an amateur contract as this time. He will stay with Pollok until this is resolved.
  2. Good post. If you analyse the results over the past 2 years our best results have been achieved with 3 at the back with Barton sweeping. Would stick Penrice straight in at LWB as he is match sharp. We should target a quality midfielder during the window (Henderson on loan?)
  3. Accept it is not ideal being decanted from the JHS but it is the most practical option. I would go a step further and give them the city end of the main stand as well to maximise revenue as long it can be easily segregated. The Green Brigade go into the JHS so low risk of flares being let off.
  4. Some knob "Graham Jags" on P&B" has slated Booth for his performance today! Get a grip. Booth was my MOTM! Unbelievable engine, always available. Some of our fans have played as much football as Willie Collum. Today was a kick in the baws, but the players gave it everything!
  5. The Welsh baiting is OTT. He does the unglamorous, dirty work (tracking back, covering positions) really well and has been decent in the last 2 games. Archie is no mug, trust him. Also Fraser will be like a new signing in the run in as he gets game time.
  6. Been stated elsewhere but what a performance from Bannigan today. We will do well to hold on to him. Immense. Special mention for big Dan. He has been a rock on this current run of form. What a difference from the last game v Ross County at Firhill when he had a stinker and many of us had written him off! Now captain material! Not the best distributor of a ball but a real hero when defending a lead.
  7. Created more chances (except v Killie) against a decent side. Welsh should have scored and first Dons goal should never have stood. Lindsay, Hendry, Booth, Lawless all pass marks. Did you expect us to pump Aberdeen?!
  8. Poor start but let's put in perspective. Lost to the 3 top sides. The regrettable result is not putting Killie to the sword. Better 2nd half today. Need to beat Dundee.
  9. Finished with 5 home grown players on the park! Great point in the circumstances.
  10. Wore mine with pride at the Pollensa Fives in Mallorca. Picture to follow
  11. Totally agree. Frazer with his head in the right place will be outstanding. Ability not in question. First quarter of season and first few games of last season he was superb. Got to be patient. Need to remember his age.
  12. The simple and classic "Kingsley gonnae get you!" Repeat, repeat
  13. Suspect the success of Glasgow Warriors might be having a small impact. Even if 50 -100 families had switched then this would have quite a big impact. I recognise the fixtures don't always clash but it may come down to a choice between spending your cash on the Warriors and the Jags and the match-day experience at Scotstoun edges ours at the moment.
  14. I may be too optimistic but I have a feeling Lyle will be revealed at George Square on Tuesday. Nothing to back this up other than a positive mental attitude!
  15. Red one coming my way. Cult status coming Kingsley's way!
  16. I appreciate everyone is frustrated by the lack of transfer activity / speculation but this close season is about quality v quantity. Suspect we are looking at 3 more signings supported by the development squad. Striker - ideally Taylor on a 2 year deal but alternatively a physical presence to complement Doolan Attacking wide midfielder - we need to replace Higginbotham. Re-signing Lawless was brilliant, McDaid has potential and hoping this will be his breakthrough season but another option required Full-back - Elliott is worth considering at right back as there is no reason why he can't develop into an attacking full-back but ideally we need cover in both full-back positions. Ironically McMillan would have been ideal but for obvious reasons this is not an option. Cash is tight so I expect no more than 3 and expect Lindsay, Hendry, Wilson, McDaid and Nisbet to feature fairly regularly.
  17. Game proved 2 up front does not work. Our best form coincided with a midfield 3 of Bannigan, Osman and Craigen with 2 ahead and one up front.
  18. The Board deserve a lot of credit for this. Provides clarity before ST renewals. I am a season ticket holder in the JHS and more than happy to go to the North Stand or Main Stand if the extra revenue allows us to re-sign guys like Abdul.
  19. One for the stattos. When was the last time we finished 8th in the top league?
  20. This could be a strange transfer window. Would be happy simply retaining the players we have. Osman, Lawless, Booth, Balatoni, Elliott (right back as O'Donnell off), Taylor, Fox and Craigen. The guys have proved they can play at this level and the team spirit is great. Higgy is an interesting one. This time last year we would be clamouring for his signature but stop/start season. Talent not in doubt just need to get his mojo back.
  21. Massive result tonight. One win out of five should suffice. Fancy a draw tomorrow and 3 points v St Mirren next week to clinch it.
  22. Bad performance and missed opportunity with the only bright spot being at least we have a good solid left back with positional sense and the ability to push forward to put crosses in. Should have been our MOTM.Agree with Lindau some of the comments on here beggar believe!
  23. 1300 plus. Great response to the bugle call!
  24. Not long until the "out of contract" players can sign "pre-contracts." Thoughts McMillan - extend. After a shaky start has displayed great form and leadership qualities. Should always start. New deal. Lawless - there were a few eye-brows raised when he was resigned after a drop in form last year. Has been excellent this year and has proved he can play at this level. New contract. Elliot - not everyone's favourite but workrate and commitment I unquestionable. Does the dirty stuff (tracking back) really well and never hides. Now finding his form after a run of games. Keep. Craigen - another in the Elliot mode (not universally popular but works his arse off and never hides). Real team player but progress needs to be monitored throughout the season. Higgy - no brainer but likely to get better offers elsewhere. O'Donnell - one of my fav players and "on form." Deal him in. Muirhead - great in the First. Commitment never in doubt. Like him but not sure at SPFL level. Balatoni - prone to the odd error but solid enough beside a good centre-back. Best years are ahead and will get better. Worth new deal but may struggle to shift Frans and Seabourne. Good guy.
