  1. If Paton goes then Robbo is ideal alternative in the short term while the younger boys come through.
  2. Does anybody else get these GroupOn Daily Deals emails? The redemption of these deals are extraordinary and gets the message to a wider audience. If we are playing Cowdenbeath (et al.) then we could do a lot worse than appeal to groups of people who are interested in football but maybe not wanting to spend +£50 on hospitality for football, If it doesnt work then so be it but if we dont try it then we dont know.
  3. March 31st I think, When does Paton's suspension start?
  4. It is a major issue...I went last night & looked at the programme to see our next few fixtures, Due to a holiday weekend (19/3/11) the next home game I will attend is...you guessed it...QotS at home!
  5. I saw that as well...i wasnt 100% sure that it actually happened so thanks for clarifying...
  6. "But the statement did reveal hopes of retuning the club, who play in the Irn Bru Scottish Football League Division One, to profitability in the future" Thats crazy...how do they expect to go from £750k loss to £1.2m loss to making profit in the foreseeable future. Where do you gain that sort of money from overnight other than selling your ground & hoping Tesco buy it?
  7. Shocker! Defence is going to be Paton, Boyle, Balatoni & AN Other...MacNamara. It would be a very young defence if we put in an under 19. Or maybe even mcGowan but again that would be a very young & inexperienced back 4 against Derek Holmes whos a bit of a bully up front & Colin McMenamin, one of the sharpest strikers in the division!
  8. Spot on...as was Grant B. I would put my mortgage on Thistle finishing above 9th.
  9. Chisholm is one of the favourites along with Gus McPherson, Gary Bollan and Chris Sutton (!) according to BBC Sport
  10. Circa £360k to be paid to players who had been made redundant exc. management. (e.g. Fox, McMenamin et al.) As I understand they are not included as creditors & have to be dealt with separatly opposed to being creditors. If true, what do they owe these players? Statutory redundancy or do they get their contracts honoured? Anyone know?
  11. They would owe us a transfer fee because he's under 23...they cant afford that. Besides why would someone whos likely to play for the Thistle first team in the next season or two join a struggling 3rd division club. makes no sense whatsoever!
  12. There seems to be a bending of the rules because he's played some sort of friendly which wasnt fully classified as a full FIFA match...seems a bit dubious to me. So thats him played for Ireland and fulfilled his Grandfathers dying wish...so why not jump ship and join us
  13. I tend to agree...I dont think it will be bad news for Dundee, as I had said previously. The situation is such an injustice - its the easy way out and they basically wont be penalised for it, in my opinion...makes you wonder why others dont just do it!?!?
  14. Im pretty sure that will be passed. That guy Jackson would be trying to postpone if he knew it was going to be rejected. They still have a month to 'negotiate' before the further penalty is imposed for still being in administration. Also, is a significant amount of the debt not owed to guys like Melville who are happy to write-off their investment in Dundee as an expensive mistake? Dont be surprised to see Dundee let off with this tomorrow & comfortably escape relegation
  15. doesnt look good...if that thaws then surely it will be waterlogged???
  16. Agreed...missed it due to work committments & wanted to read what happened. The performance of some people on here is farcical...get a grip guys
  17. Im sure dunfermline accepted the offer. i think it was gibson who declined
  18. Strange that he thinks someone in the SPL would be interested in him. I think he's pretty hit or miss & nowhere near the stage where he would be thinking about a step up. He has added some consistency recently & his form has been pretty decent but Im surprised by some of his comments there. Absolutely delighted to get Scott Fox signed up. He has been exceptional recently.
  19. He's maybe agreed in principle with McCall, subject to him getting fully fit...which he is obviously confident he will do if hes telling fans he's signed a deal till May.
  20. Sorry but I think your both delusional. Out of contract in 6 months - lucky to get £5k for him
