  1. Ended up phoning in. Web site doesn't seem to work with Safari and Chrome but got it to work with Firefox, still couldn't add it to season ticket 'though. Resorted to telephone.
  2. The title should of course read 'adding gers game' but autocorrect perhaps knows best.
  3. I thought you where able to add the R@ngers cup game to your season ticket. Having great difficulty on the website, it seems to only let me buy a ticket.
  4. Doesn't really tell us anything new but here it is anyway http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/interview-chic-charnley-the-ultimate-journeyman-1-4522979
  5. It really doesn't matter if it's end of season or not, people have paid their money for an entertainment spectacle and expect the best possible performance from those involved. The management also made a wrong call today, it's better to have inexperienced players in the right position than experienced players playing out of position. Some players who took an early exit in the game today should not be back next year in my opinion. We need to look at a higher class of player for next year. So far we've done well with picking up good players with a dodgy injury record but we now need to look higher up the leagues for stronger more physical players to participate. Celtic (and probably Aberdeen) have shifted the goalposts in SPFL quality, and while we might not be able to keep up with them financially we should be able to at least aspire to a different way of playing football. It's a different class of footballer we need at Thistle for next year and we should by now have the financial stability to bring them in.
  6. An interesting stat I picked up on the Twitter thingummy. Thistle have conceded to either draw or lose the game in the 80th+ minute 9 times this season. That's over a quarter of our league games.
  7. Goals in last 5 or so minutes have killed us this season. Good on the players who run themselves into the ground, but the management have to realise sooner that they're knackered and make substitutions appropriately. Subs come on too late. I would say that it's the one Achilles heel left in Archie's management style.
  8. The highlights always seem to be on the Daily Record channel before their UK release http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-match-reports/partick-thistle-1-motherwell-0-10185668
  9. Tip and indeed Top.
  10. I thought Chris Erskine was more nervous about Doolan reaching his 100 than the man himself. I thought that was a bit of the reason for his poorish play today. I think the thought of being provider was hanging heavy on his mind.
  11. Just listened to the Ian Cathro interview on BBC site (none from Archie...natch), why does he sound and look like he's Italian for whom English is a second language?
  12. Does Jason Banton exist or is he a made up person?
  13. Nice wee read for a Saturday morning https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/feb/18/want-to-care-like-they-care-learn-to-love-football?CMP=share_btn_tw
  14. Don't get me f'in started about the coverage today. If I was a Clyde fan I'd be spitting blood, I'm sure the chances of them hearing their manager being interviewed on radio are few and far between but when a good cup result happens you maybe tune in to the radio on the way home to here him being interviewed about.....The Rangers! Not a dickie about your own game, appalling journalism pandering to the binary polarity of Scottish Football.
  15. Looking at the bigger picture, what worries me most is we seem to have made no progression during our stay in the top flight. The quality of football we are producing is, at best, the same as when we first were promoted. After this amount of time and financial stability the entertainment and skill quotient should at least be approaching mid-table/good cup run level. Other teams (St Johnstones etc) don't have the rabbit in the headlights mentality that we have when playing Rangers, Celtic etc and that is the level we should be at.
  16. I don't think I'm going over the top here when I say that the offside decision was analogous to the conviction of the Birmingham Six
  17. While we're not at it...Perth- midges in October, what's that all about?
  18. Lambie and Collins used it all the time, have a wee look at 'Grasping the Thistle' again.
  19. Here's to the players who 'put in a shift' * Edwards and Azeez (top amongst many), not more you can ask of a player. *©️John Lambie
