  1. Commentator has just said we've won 1 of last 13 home games v St Mirren. Didn't realise it was such a bad record. I see wee Danny has chosen to try and upset us by shooting towards the North Stand first half
  2. Sitting in Oman waiting to see live on TV. Mon The Jags, hope for a win, but not to lose is the minimum.
  3. Paypal excellent, even if the dvd is several months late
  4. I actually meant Goodwin's appeal as he's free to play on Friday, but I agree it's not St Mirren's fault, I just mean the system is open to abuse & it's wrong
  5. according the the Daily Record the appeal is next week. What a load of nonsense, it leaves the system wide open to abuse when you can appeal to make a suspended player available for what can possibly be a more important game. Hopefully if he plays he'll do something stupid like last time & this time not get away with it
  6. Text for rotw p&p says £8 now, maybe they changed it?
  7. Unless the appeal is held before then and gets rejected
  8. ok, maybe not a total disaster, but look what happened following our last 2 relegations from the top league. Anybody fancy a repeat of those scenarios? Let's face it, if we go down we won't come straight back up & it could be years before we are good enough to get promotion again. The top league might not be great to be in at times, but it's where the money is & it's better to be in it than out of it
  9. I thought LIB meant the story Chic Murray told about his wife falling over in Blackpool & her nose getting stuck in the tramline, so he threw her leg over the power line & pushed her all the way to Fleetwood. Not sure where Danny Kaye or Tam Gemmell come into it
  10. anybody impressed with this guy last week in the Ramsden's Cup Final? I know it was only 1 game, but I thought he was outstanding. Is he better than SOD? If so should we go after him in the summer?
  11. totally agree. We need a few seasons in the top league to stabilise as a club
  12. I'm not a boo boy, more of a pessimist (45 years of watching Thistle can make you like that) I was home recently but only got to the Celtic game, but my feeling is, since Hibs we seem to have gone backwards & the players confidence is down. I think we'll struggle to win any of the away games, and even on recent form there's no guarantees of home wins. The Hearts result & performance must have caused a huge amount of doubt in the squad. I think it might even have let Hibs off the hook. I honestly believe 11th is where we'll end up. As for the play-off, it really depends on who we get, but we would be facing a team who had to have won games to qualify. I think it would be very difficult no matter who we would play. Hope I'm wrong about all of this of course
  13. I remember Geordie Shaw & Tommy Smith scoring at Parkhead but not The Ghost
  14. I thought they normally got more than 6000 for their derby matches, so that seems quite low
  15. you have rossco & st murn mixed up, but the points are correct. I'm sure killie will beat st j though
  16. if there are 2 home wins tomorrow for us & St M (and it is possible) then Hibs will be right in the mix. I fancy Killie will win tomorrow as well. Kris Boyd is definitely their saviour this season
  17. Christie Elliot is just the type of player that's needed as a squad player. He rarely plays from the start, but when he comes on he always gives 100% and has created an impact on several occasions. He's not exactly skillful but his strength & willingness to run at the opposition is something that's always useful to have on the bench
  18. I would be surprised if there is one, but we can hope
  19. I wish I could get to the next 3 games I was home for ICT, Sellick & St J, but only managed to get to the Sellick game. That was a waste of 25 quid!!!
  20. and Aberdeen's 1-1 draws in previous games caused both scenarios
  21. jaggy

    Hearts

Red card is always immediate suspension in the same competition. Violent conduct or Serious foul play is usual next game regardless of competition
  22. Cassidy gets a bad rap for 1 game, where as Muscat Jag says he probably got most decisions correct. He also got blasted for another game at Stenhousmuir that season, when it wasn't even him in charge, it was a wee fat guy called Colin Hardie. The previously mentioned Louis Thow was probably the worst I can remember & he gave us nothing, but Rowbotham was bad as well. Two others not mentioned (I don't think) that were terrible & seemed to give us nothing were Andrew Waddell (Waddell, Waddell get to feck was chanted many times) and Alan something (can't remember his surname, came from Aberdeenshire) I think he was the ref when Hardie made that 'tackle' on Dowie at Shyberry Excelsior or whatever it was called then. There have been many more, but I think bad refs were the exception a few years ago, now there seems to be more of them. Thomson is surprising as I did think he was decent in the past
  23. While there is some merit in giving them the JHS, there's nothing 'Excellent' about the main stand & I wouldn't particularly want to sit in it. It's been a dump for years & the only way it would become 'excellent' is if it gets demolished & rebuilt
  24. I missed the numbers & forgot I had a ticket, but a guy near to me in JH2 was jumping up & down cos he won 1st prize. Glad somebody was happy last night
