  1. You would hope that one of the other two full-time coaches on the management team might have a suggestion. Otherwise, why would we have three managers...
  2. Yes, that's a done deal. I believe QP are waiting until after the play-offs to announce it as they have one or two outgoings. Foster has at least two part-time offers on the table alongside his BBC contract.
  3. Crawford! Seriously? Another bang average, unspectacular, boring, uncreative central midfielder. Exactly how Ian McCall likes them. May as well get Bryan Hodge signed up whilst we are at it. Hopefully he's more a squad player. Won't be long before McCall has his Ayr United rejects signed up. (As a side note, I know that at least three of those released players are signed up elsewhere).
  4. One of the key issues is McCall's stubborn insistence that Bannigan is the best CM in the division, and Docherty is the second best. It's been a real bugbear of mine for the past two seasons.
  5. Would like to see QP stay in League One if only because there is a real chance they could become Glasgow's 3rd team. Certainly because we are such a state off the field, and QP have actually achieved something in their history unlike us.
  6. There needs to be a Plan B in midfield next season too. This central pairing of Bannigan and Docherty is not creative enough to get anything going through the middle. Like watching Barton and Osman all over again.
  7. P1ss poor performance. Toothless and tinpot. Our recent run of form would have been enough to dismiss most other managers. And our inability to score goals is just embarrassing. Time to take stock over the summer. Get rid of (at least) one of our useless Assistant Managers. Then look at players who can actually create something.
  8. Completely agree. I think the fans also have a certain responsibility to police themselves when it comes to this stuff too.
  9. I think last night just about summed up our season. First 60mins we were comfortable without being spectacular. The one thing I do really question about this side are their bottle. After the first goal went in, I think the game was only going to go one way. Unfortunately, I do think Sneddon's stats flatter to deceive. When you look at the match statistics of the long run of clean-sheets, the shots he faced (on target) were relatively few. The goals per-shots faced percentage is maybe a far better indicator. I'd definitely start with him as first choice next season (regardless of division), but we need to bring in an experienced goalkeeper (someone along the same lines as Paul Gallacher who had such a positive impact on everyone's development). Can't really add much other than that. The Rangers boy is an absolute diddy and makes Pogba, Azeez, Eccleston, or even Paul Keegan look competent in front of goal. He absolutely had to score that. One final point is one I've made all season. The subs were baffling last night. For a diddy club like us to have THREE managers on the coaching team is absolutely ridiculous and a waste of wage. If it was working, I'd say "fair enough." But the three of them don't seem to have a scooby between them. Either that, or there is conflicting opinions. Unfortunately, I don't think we are still in this tie. Can see ICT winning by a couple of goals up there. I don't know why McCall seems to think that we can buck the trend of the last 20 or so matches.
  10. A head coach and two assistant managers. Yet not one of them has a brain cell between them.
  11. Crazy thought... But for a club that wants to champion its "non-sectarian" roots, it might be considered bad form to be singing that particular song. I'm now bored of this conversation. I'm away to get offended on Twitter like the wee snowflake soyboy I am.
  12. Don't dare patronise me. Just because a song has been sung "for decades" doesn't make it right. And it wasn't just done in the stadium. It was also sung on the trains to and from the match as well. So don't give me that nonsense. This was a club all too keen to promote the "snowflake" (your word) social justice causes in the name of inclusivity (e.g., LGBT kit). But that obviously doesn't extend to our Catholic fanbase who have to listen to the bit about The Pope. And before anyone starts the "f--- your" vs "f--- the" semantics crap, it doesn't wash. We all know it shouldn't be sung, and that should be an end of it. Well maybe we have a different idea of what constitutes embarrassing. I'd say smoke bombs, climbing up the terrace wall, and inflatable willys when you're 3:0 down is pretty tinpot stuff. But maybe I'm just not with it.
  13. Performance an embarrassment. Our coked out fans are an embarrassment. Our players are an embarrassment. The fact that morons still think it acceptable to sing "that song" (so much for all our "inclusive" horseshit) is an embarrassment. Utterly scunnered this evening.
  14. He literally said exactly the same thing about this season. Mind you, we are still the division's 4th highest scorers which is f-ing mental.
  15. Ian McCall: "we won't fail to score goals this season. That's for sure." You can f--- off with Britton and Jacqui you absolute has-been. And take Scally and that absolute freeloader Archie with you. Three managers and not a brain cell between the lot of you.
  16. For all the bluster, I hope the Jags fans make their feelings towards Jacqui Low clear today.
  17. Would be good to get the podcast episode as wide a circulation as possible. Very well done guys.
  18. Really great effort. I will send you a DM with my name for you to add to the list.
  19. Even the TJF statement on Twitter has 5 retweets and 4 comments. That tells you a lot unfortunately. It almost looks as if TJF has skulked into the corner when in reality they should have come out swinging. Even look at the response here. A thread with just 3 pages! The usual grumble from Jags fans, but in reality we are too impotent to actually do anything to affect change. I don't see Thistle fans actually mobilising themselves or making their feelings known. And to be honest, who can blame them? You have Low in one corner, and TJF in the other. What a choice. To me, this whole episode has just been an utter mess. On the surface of it, the decision of Colin Weir to gift majority shares to the fans might be a nice idea. But was there really any clamber for this position prior to it being touted? Can we honestly say the club is in a better position now than before the Weir investment. I honestly don't think you can. And that isn't to sound ungrateful for what he done. Absolutely not. But the tragic circumstances that proceeded his investment should not negate an honest conversation about the state of the club now, and whether the current course of action is the correct one.
  20. Well. What are we going to do about it? Lot of whinging as per usual, but are the fans going to make their feelings clear? Unless there is an impassioned desire from the fans to force change, there is not point in greetin.
  21. Meh. All bluster. Jackie Low and Britton will remain at Thistle for years to come. There will be the odd grumble, but Thistle fans have been utterly impotent at forcing change at the club. So let's just sit back and take it like we always do. :)
