Wasn't at the game but what a result. Seems to have hinged on swapping Fraser & Edwards round. For the life of me I can't understand the decision to have Edwards behind Fraser to start with but it doesn't really matter now.
We seemed to have stopped looking at the lower leagues in Scotland which is a shame if you think of the amount of good players we signed in the last 5 years. Maybe now as an SPL team there aren't many ready for that level.
Amazing to think if ATS hadn't got injured with about 6 games to go in the 11/12 season and Bannigan came in at left back we probably would have freed him.
Just watched the highlights, do we usually not have anyone on either post or in the 6 yard box to defend a corner? Its not something i've overly noticed but the defending of that corner is ridiculous
After two games we are currently losing 7-0 and barley had a shot on goal, so forgive me for not having as much unfounded confidence as others. Try having a realist mentality, then you will see where i'm coming from.
I applaud your optimism but have you forgotten our pathetic performances against them this season? Add to the mix there is a chance we might go more or less 8-1-1 against them.
Seabourne in the Evening times saying he thinks 3-5-2 might be in the managers thoughts this weekend. Also happy how defensively solid we were using it V Utd. Of course it wasn't bad defensively Dan, we had 8 non attack minded outfield players!
It's not even just since then though. Our win v Inverness was a freak cross that went in, away to Utd we had one shot and scored & Ross County was an OG. The breaks have went for us big time and our defenders are solid but I think it all papers over how poor we are at attacking
