  1. Agree with above. This has been the poorest 1st Division that I can remember. Apart from a by into the 4th round of the Scottish Cup, theres no difference in finishing 4th-8th, the difference of prize money will be small it will surely be insignificant. We will probably win more games as we are playing teams who are playing for nothing like ourselves. Hugely disappointing season that has offered no form of excitment. Can't wait till the start of next season, hopefully with a new manager in charge.
  2. Dumfries is also a good trip by train, especially as you can drink on the train and have a few in Dumfries before heading back up.
  3. If they have the rent money then I don't see why not. You could probably sit them in the North Stand as most crowds are way under 1000. Did they not rip up seats the last time they shared with us, or I'm a making that up?
  4. Theres been rumours for a while about County doctoring their attendance figures. Not sure how true it is, but as you said, it's a nice round figure and how often does that happen?
  5. Insanity is my guess. The 'official' attendance from Ross County was 2200, so there must have been a good number who travelled up. Fair play to those that did.
  6. Pressely came across really informed and I agreed with all of his points. I have a bit more respect for Pressely after last night. The show in general though was crap, nothing new learned, and nothing will be changed. They idiots in charge of our game could talk for an eternity and still not come up with something to change our game for the better. I was also hugely disappointed in Levein. Agree with previous posts about the way our kids are trained. I remember we were told if playing against a technical player, just kick him in the air at every opportunity. Great coaching that was.
  7. The pitch has been a sandpit for as long as I can remember. I mind playing on the pitch circa 2002 for my school, and although it was in a semi-decent state, there was still a lot of sand. Never as bad though as it is now, and the fact we will need to hire our own groundsmen again when the warriors leave.
  8. Partick Thistle 0 - 1 Hamilton Accies Attendance: 2,100
  9. Great shout, Chegwin will score a barrel load off the chances that Prince Philip creates. Confident of a win if we go with that team.
  10. Would be great if we could get that going at games, as it would hopefully shake off some of the negativity that's around the club. Hopefully if it does happen everyone will join in.
  11. It's disgraceful the board haven't made a move on this, it's clear they're Jags fans. Massive opportunity missed and the board should hang their heads in shame.
  12. I really enjoyed that quote along with "have found themselves in mid-table security". Not sure about that, the way we are playing and the lack of motivation we could slip into a relegation fight. Thank god for Ayr and QOS as without them we would be really struggling. Can't wait till he adds a few more "experianced" players.
  13. There was a song sung about Paton up in Dingwall a few years ago, don't think it's been sung since though. It went to the tune of 'walking in a winter wonderland' and was quite funny, although I don't know if the drink affected my judgement. I think we could do with some new songs though to mix in with the classics.
  14. Our youth system seems a joke and on repeat every year. A couple of promosing players will make it through and play a few games before disappearing never to be seen again. I don't think it should be scrapped, but the way operates should be looked in to as im sure we would all like to see some players make it through.
  15. What about the lottery winners a few months ago, I'm sure I read somewhere that they were Thistle fans Also Craig Ferguson is quite funny.
  16. In a word, no. The team has no fight and doesn't seem to try most games. This has been going on for a while and McNamara hasn't seemed to have done anything to change/motivate the team, set peices are still a shambles as well with non-existent marking. Unfortunately, I still think he will be there next season.
  17. I agree with some of your points, but what is there to be excitied about? Our season is over already as we can't go up and we won't go down so the games are now meaningless. It's been that way for a while and unfortunately I don't see it changing unless we see something to get motivated about to give us that boost. The bit in bold, just no.
  18. Yeah, completely brushed aside by a young team. With the experiance we have, we should have bullied them out the game, but the lack of fight is unreal. It's going to be a long end to the season if performance like that keep up, and why should fans pay money to see a team that has giving up and a manager unable to motivate them.
  19. The defending at the 2nd goal was shocking, a simple run that wasn't tracked. We need to work on our set peices, especially corners a lot more as we always seem to struggle to defend them and can never score from them. Highlights were distressing to watch we were that poor against a team of kids.
  20. I just can't believe that you're a real person. All your posts are ridiculous.
  21. 2-1 Away win against Clyde a few days before my 18th birthday, sure it was our first win there in years as well. No other games that I can remember.
  22. Yup, no way will attendance figures be up 200-300. Average for the rest of the season will be around 1800. Bit worried though at finding a new sponsor, as stated, the last few were hard to come by and we are a lot less attractive proposition now than we were back then. Wonder what will happen next to affect our revenue.
