  1. Can anyone explain the purpose of McMillan's socks having holes cut out to reveal his calves?
  2. ?, Gordon (what's he doing in the Ranger's box?) Rae, Gough, George Shaw, ?. LC 28/8/1991 0-2
  3. Billy McNeil, N/K, John Harvey, John Hughes, Jackie Campbell, Jim Gray, Joe McBride, "Skin" Cunningham.
  4. Hearts = 1 in 15 (1921) Dundee Utd = 6 in 12 (1925, 27, 30, 48, 50, 60) Dunfermline = 3 in 12 ( 2008, 21, 23). In case anyone is interested... Celtic 0 in 11, Rangers 2 in 18 (1887 and 1921)
  5. Thistle have played 348 Scottish Cup ties involving a total of 77 different teams. Hearts (15), Dundee United (12) and Dunfermline (11) total 38 of these matches. They represent only 4% of the teams we have played but 11% of the matches played. Hearts have knocked us out of the cup 9 times, Dunfermline 8 times and Dundee United 5 times.
  6. Can any tell me if there was a programme issued for Thistle v Aberdeen - originally scheduled for 16/1/1982 but postponed and played on 3/2/1982? If so, what number is it? Thanks.
  7. From PT official site. Common sense from Dundee. Well done! Dundee FC have confirmed that cash gates will be in operation for our trip to the Kilmac Stadium at Dens Park on Saturday afternoon. There will be no facility to purchase tickets in advance with four turnstiles open in the Bob Shankly Stand for the Red and Yellow Army. Tickets are priced as follows: Adults – £24 Concession(over 65)/Student – £16 Under 18s – £10 All tickets will be sold through cash gates at Dundee. There is no facility for purchasing tickets online for this fixture.
  8. Just for info. I emailed QPFC about admission to the match. Usual bugbear. Ticket only or PATG? Their reply is that it is tickets only at the moment. They will consider whether PATG is an option nearer the time - presumably waiting to see how many tickets they sell on line.
  9. If the Board, whoever they are, have any eyes on the future they should give him a better/longer deal now!
  10. 27/2/1965 Motherwell 0-2 Partick Thistle. It was Harry Davis' only appearance for Thistle at Fir Park. Motherwell...Wyllie, Thomson, R McCallum, Delaney, Martis, W McCallum, Coakley, Murray, McBride, Hunter, Lindsay. Thistle...Gray, Campbell, Muir, Davis, Harvey, Cunningham, Hogan, HAINEY, McLindon, EWING, McParland. A defensive mix-up led to a hand ball and Ewing scored with the pen (14). Hainey got an easy 2nd (35) following a defensive error. Thistle were well on top by h-t with the Motherwell defence all over the place. They improved in the 2nd half but constantly fell into Thistle's off-side trap. A comfortable win.
  11. Let's trust them to make the right decision!
  12. What was the official attendance up the canal?
  13. If so, is there a possibility the game will be "all ticket" I wonder.
  14. I don't know the answer to the slump in form. There has been a lot of posting recently and some posters could do with a break. Some have been posting twice a week. Some are posting while only 60% fit. Some of our posters didn't even get a good pre-season due to keyboard problems. At least November sees us only having to post once a week so that will be a help. When posters from other clubs sit down at the keyboard they look as if they could fire off a post every time - even from distance. We need to sort this out. The boys will be in soon for a meeting to show them the posts from last week and to have an open discussion about what can be done.
  15. Cumulative aggregates are notoriously difficult to identify electronically so happy to stand corrected if anyone wants to have a go! A visual check back over goals conceded (excluding friendly matches) suggests you have to go back to September 1974 to find more than the current 15 goals conceded in 4 consecutive matches. 16 was the tally (Rangers 2-3, Airdrie 2-5, Hibs 1-5 and Morton 1-3). That's around 2,350 matches ago. But, as I say, if anyone knows of a more recent 16-goal run, happy to hear about it.
  16. Info on PT OS just says no cash gate. Once again, not at all helpful! Does it mean literally no entrance without a ticket OR entrance on the day can be by card but not cash? I phoned RRFC. Entrance to away end is by ticket only. No cash or card gate. I was told there is no facility to buy a ticket for the away end on the day. Ticket sales on the day are for home fans only.
  17. Just curious about a comment above that caught my eye (AUFC live stream available). I thought perhaps it was a reference to subscribers outside the UK and Ireland, so I looked at Ayr's OS. Lo and behold they are advertising their next live screen being for 5 November. No mention of restriction if you live in the UK. I thought live streams were stopped this season.
  18. Please don't have thoughts like that!
  19. I emailed Accies on Wednesday asking the very same question. Still waiting on a reply. If they can't be bothered to reply I may not bother going. Their loss.
  20. Thanks, Jaggernaut but the match isn't listed.
