  1. We won convincingly, and we are through to the next round. And yet we still get people on here having a strop about it?? The majority of the people on here don't deserve to have the Jags as their team, to be honest. Me? Way happy, job done QoS await, and Ayr on Wednesday. Full glass scenario.
  2. You won't because that has no balance. One of the front three has to go in favour of Flannigan who plays wide right.
  3. The one who scored a winner against Aberdeen in a 2-1 win in 94-95? Albertini Craig scored the other one IIRC. Or maybe I'm totally senile by now?
  4. Another voice of reason. Where have you been lately?
  5. A sloppy win over Culter followed by a sloppy win over Ayr would be perfectly acceptable. No problem with any Jags win however it's achieved.
  6. In a broken dream - Python Lee Jackson
  7. No. But it's clear that your PC should be confiscated forthwith on the basis of your postings over the last 24 hours.
  8. The objective is to qualify for round four. One more than Culter will do fine, thanks. Anything else will be welcome and a bonus.
  9. That's fair enough TJ. My view is that I'd rather be in the cup than out of it, irrespective of opponent.
  10. My perspective is that I am happy that we are still in the Scottish Cup despite an obviously inadequate performance today. What's your perspective?
  11. In your opinion, which I fully respect. In my opinion, Cowdenbeath was way worse because they put us out of the cup. And with every respect to you, TJ, that opinion is not nonsense.
  12. DP, I accept you have a different opinion from me, but why the need for the unwarranted digs?
  13. Cowdenbeath put us OUT of the cup. That was a disgraceful result. We were embarassed today, but we are still IN the cup tonight. Do you not understand the difference?
  14. Nonsense about it being the worst result in the club's history. The Berwick result this season was worse. We are still in the cup, and we'll beat them at Firhill, next Saturday. It's an embarassment, nothing worse. Perspective man, perspective.
  15. Get over yourselves folks. We're still in the cup with the chance to put it right. In 1993 the Great Lambini got beat 0-1 at Firhill by Cowdenbeath who were propping up the first division at the time, and probably hadn't won a game IIRC. He survived that. JaggyMac will survive this and grow. Chill.
  16. Honved, that's a very good response to what was a poorly presented rant from LLD. I look forward to reading his response to your reasoned argument. Should he do so, I hope he uses paragraphs this time round.
  17. This. I've seen three games this season (Hamilton, QoS and Dross Cunty all at home) and the style of football we are playing this year is an order of magnitude better than under iMac. And please do not read that as a criticism of the previous incumbent. My guess is that Jaggy Mac has a more innovative approach than iMac, due to better and probably more up-to-date contacts. I think he's putting together the foundation of a business model that will serve PTFC very well in the future. It may mean that we have to get used to a L*mbie style revolving door policy. But with money coming into the club this time round.
  18. Where on earth is Benny Rooney? Re Jimmy Bone - He played for the eastend ugly sister in 73-74 and 74-75, so on what basis does he not count?? Also, can you please remind me which one of the ugly sisters Peter Cormack ever played for?
  19. Heart to Hang on to - Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane
  20. What? No moaning in the first post on a 'Just In' thread. Is that not against the rules??
  21. I can corroborate this. I was not allowed to go to said game because it was Christmas day. Even although my family lived in Wilton Street. Dad was overruled. Having said that, I did get 'Who's Next' in my Christmas pile that day......................
