  1. I was six years old and unfortunately not at the game in 71,and I most certainly would not decry what was a magnificent achievement.I have however watched clips of the game several times over the years and my main gripe when ever there is media coverage of this event ,is that we are not wearing red and yellow stripes or hoops which most people would identify us with.Instead we are wearing a strip that I personally would associate with Albion Rovers.Unfortunately with us having had success while wearing this strip and a similar effort during our recent championship win , I fear this horrendous strip will no doubt pop again.
  2. I can't get this fascination with the horrendous yellow top, makes us look like Albion Rovers. We had success with it in 71 and all of a sudden it's the retro strip to have.If you look at our history we have mostly worn stripes or hoops and I hope we stick with that.
  3. Reported to the portacabin after game with son to collect his winnings and was then sent round to the office only to be told to go back round to portacabin., now need to go into Firhill on Monday which isn't exactly convenient . Typically poor organisation and a bit of an anticlimax
  4. How many goals have we lost from crosses into our six yard box ? Clearly this zonal marking from corners is not working so Fox is going to need to grow a pair and start commanding his six yard box or we will have to go man for man
  5. That`s the only good game he`s had this season and was quite rightly dropped last night . He may find it difficult to get back in after Elliot`s performance . Thought we played well last night but as usual we were powder puff up front
  6. Moved seat to accomodate the badly behaved Celtic support
  7. Having already been moved seat due to hopitality , I have now discovered that I will have to move seat again to accomodate the Celtic support when they come ,as there being given a larger section of the JHS due to not being trusted in the old wooden main stand because of previous incidents with flares.
  8. Trouble with an interim management team is will they be allowed to make any major decisions ? Will they be able to sign anyone, look at potentail signings or negotiate new deals with the players who will be out of contract at the end of the season ? Will any of the players be willing to commit to a new contract when they don't know who the manager is going to be ?
  9. Is there a student discount for today`s match against Raith and if so how much ?
  10. Does anyone happen to know where the closed door game with QOS is being played tomorrow ?
  11. Nice guy ,average goalkeeper, thanks but no thanks
  12. Went in today to renew season books and they don`t have the books yet, there also hoping most people will collect their books from Firhill where possible when they arrive due too the large increase in posting costs
  13. Pity, i like this seasons away strip, unfortunately i can`t stand our home strip and can`t believe were going to have to suffer it another year.In our current kit It`s like watching Albion Rovers.Time for change PLEASE
  14. Cheers, thanks for clearing this up
  15. According to the Sunday Mail and the Official Morton site tomorrow`s game kicks off at 7:30,YET our Official site is claiming its 7:45 .Who do you believe ?
  16. It had better not be me again as i`ve already had to move to accomodate the hospitality section
  17. Sounds good to me,however we would need a few hundred to move over or it may be rediculed. It might be worth trialing it out on the last home game of the season and allow season tickets to be vallid

    Justin

Much as i thought Scully made 2 or 3 excellent saves at the end of the day he has cost us three points down to 3 goalkeeping errors.Fox must come back in next week
  19. From what i here one of the clubs they are in talks with is Petershill Juniors and that is the preferred option of some Clyde supporters as they would rather not have anything to do with us,However the stumbling block is the fact that Petershill already share with an amateur club and couldn`t guarantee Clyde getting the use of the pitch on a Saturday. They are looking in to giving the amateur club a sweetner to step aside for a season. If they can strike a deal, that would be the preferred option due to the ground being more than adequate for their support and the fact that they could also train there and it would most likely be the cheapest option

    So

From what i hear Clyde are going to be sharing with us next season before moving to East Kilbride the following season
  21. I thought he was excellent today and seems far more suited to the centre half role than midfield, other than Erskine who was terrific today he would have merited the man of the match award
  22. According to the official site the Home game with Ayr on Saturday 28/01/12 has been posponed ,anyone know why ?
  23. Totally agree it`s time the away fans were put in the JHS this saves money and would hopefully generate an atmosphere,at a time when ever penny is a prisoner this is a no brainer
  24. There was a surprise in the Thistle reserve team that faced Queen of the South at Glasgow Green this evening with the inclusion, as a trialist, of former St Mirren striker Craig Dargo. Said manager Jackie McNamara to www.ptfc.co.uk prior to tonight’s 2-1 defeat; “Craig was training with us earlier in the season and although he hasn’t played much football recently we are going to take a look at him with a view to giving him a deal until January just to try and shake things up a bit up front.” Dargo played the first hour of what was an entertaining game tonight.Given that our strikers seem to be off form at the moment could be worth a short term contract provided he can prove his fitness and stay clear of injury. Thoughts ?
