  1. think someone cant count, theres no way I could see 1500 empty seats around the ground tonight I take it theres certain groups that don't count toward attendance figures?
  2. Massive turnout at firhill must be an easy 9-10k
  3. thought there seemed to be a lot of talk about the jags on the show tonight, and the clubs praises were being sung for the brilliant support they have and the good football we're playing the now. just when you think things cant get any weirder clyde start loving the jags
  4. cracking day out unfortunately my boy never made it due to being no well (stayed with granny ) but me Faither and Law and Daughter Child(Shelbi) made it up. all positive today notice the concession stand at the city end selling hot drinks only, kudos on that. Hats off to the lovely ladies doing the facepainting, made my daughters day so thank you very much. and of course a cracking result and a cracking atmosphere, JH was indeed rocking and I would hazard a guess at a bit more than the Quoted attendance. what does the JH hold 6 thousand? couple of pics
  5. and the other horror let loose with the cup really nice that they were getting the kids involved
  6. cracking day out and it seemed a decent crowd considering the opposition. ruddy cold though, kids certainly were feeling it near the end of the game but all the fun of a cup game the goal from the Cove boy was a corker and well done foxy on the penalty save(no shame in conceding their goal as it was top drawer) have to say the sfa peeps with the Scottish cup must be bonkers, quite happy to let my 2 near it
  7. just to touch on a comment I saw earlier in this thread if any of you listen to radio Clyde you'll hear plenty about the old firm in the sports bulletins, plenty about Glasgow rocks and the braehead clan(icehockey team) and they even cover the English premiership big boys, even when we gubbed Airdrie we didn't get a mention. even the local media are not interested. perhaps the club could be more pro-active with them? oh and why does my return key not work on this forum?
  8. good day today apart from that shocking refereeing. realistically we should have been playing vs 10 men for most of the game. still was a brilliant feeling to see that equaliser hit the back of the net and grab us a point.
  9. count me in for some singing(badly) too my own brainwashing is also complete for our 2 with number 3 a bit too young to start on just now
  10. Christ you should hear some of the things my 2 come away with when they think me or Mrs Toaster are out of earshot. but to flip the thread a bit away from the unsavoury stuff. twas a great day out 6 out of 6 in the lucky away top oh and most definitely a lack of singing in the JHS maybe we could get a few of the onethistle guys to join us in the kids section next week ?
  11. oh and whilst we're having a moan whats with the official attendance figures, do they not count u16's or something? certainly seemed to me that there was more than 3000 there today, same a fortnight ago against Falkirk certainly more than the quoted 3400
  12. agreed a more educated choice of abuse would have been better as he's not a convicted peado. iirc he was done with exposing himself infront of women and children, but none the less the guy is a seedy pervert and deserving of all the abuse flying his way in my eyes.
  13. as a parent taking a 8 and 7 yr old along I do so expecting to hear the full assortment of football songs. it might sound like i'm a bad parent but my kids will hear just as much at any primary school these days than they will in any football stand. That said thankfully neither of my 2 heard the peado chants as that's one I really would not want to start trying to explain to them. BUT with that said I do fully expect to hear all sorts of language and abuse getting fired around a stadium. Its my responsibility to educate my kids that what their hearing is just an outburst of a passionate fan and in the case of the chants and songs merely a bit of rivalry which there is nothing wrong with in itself. that leaves the ball in my court to educate my kids as to whats right and whats wrong. but if anyone out there thinks that kids of a primary school age are not using language and abuse just as bad as this in the playgrounds of Glasgow then they are dreaming. and as above the catering is beyond poor someone said to me the other day they had heard a rumour of greggs taking over the catering at firhill next season. any truth in this?
  14. Good day out for us again Impressions Catering- shockingly poor overpriced and of general poor quality queues dealt with better than at the Falkirk game but could certainly improve Stewarding fine down at the kids section of the JHS common sense applied and stewards worked in a relaxed manner and were nothing but friendly towards the kids and big kids down there. Toilets in the JHS were well lets just say not the freshest of most inviting of toilets I've ever had the pleasure of visiting oh and hats off to whatever poor soul was dressed up as Jaggy mcbee. whoever it is is spot on for the job very patient with the kids and a credit to the club.
  15. heres hoping for a good turn out, suggest that every member on here drags at least one extra body along even if it is just stealing someones kid(s) for the afternoon) trying to convince the wife to come along even if its to perv over Simon Donnelly for 90 minutes rather than support the jags
  16. gutted to have missed this, sounds like it was a really exciting game if somewhat poor defensively
  17. 2-2 according to bbc Sounds like were missing a good game
  18. Emailed QP about this and Christine the general manager says no parking restrictions and ample parking At hampden :) just gutted I can't get anyone to cover one of my contract hires or me and mini toaster would be coming along.
  19. Queens park first, and of course we will be at EEP. chance to pop in and visit family before/after the game(I'm originally from Rosyth)
  20. was a cracking day out tbh as usual had Mini Toaster with me and my Daughter made her first visit to Firhill and absolutely loved it Good result great atmosphere and a cracking day out only thing is I would say it seemed like a lot more than 3 1/2 thousand at the game today.
  21. at the end of the day each of those kids given a free ticket will drag along an adult paying £17 into the club coffers. add to that copious amounts of hotdogs, pies, juice and programmes being purchased for said kids and Thistle are certainly getting a good return on their free tickets for kids scheme not to mention the amount of replica kits, shirts scarves and other odds and sods that will be bought over the season
  22. sent you a mail this morning asking what details you needed so got that now, just stuck a mail off to you with the kids details. cheers Rob
  23. Has it been confirmed whether or not that the North stand will be shut to U16's?
  24. absolutely brilliant idea tbh. I'll be signing my 2 up as soon as Andrew Byron gets back telling me how. In regards to Thistles attitude towards Youngsters its a breath of fresh air I found myself teamless after my previous team decided to out themselves as crooks and die. I weighed up the local options with my primary consideration being that my son was starting to show an interest in the beautiful game and was wanting to start attending matches. Thistle wins hands down and anyone I spoke to could not speak highly enough of their welcoming attitude towards kids. Even as a Dirty Sooside fan I've been made most welcome preseason and the attitude of club staff and supporters towards my boy at both Firhill and our away trips this preseason have been fantastic. Its because of this Thistle has quickly earned a place in my heart and My boy is infatuated. This weekend i'll be in attendance with 2 kids a Wife and a Father in law. So thanks to The attitude shown by the club and the supporters Thistle is gaining 3x adult ticket and copious amounts of Juice and Hotdog sales this weekend. Although I should admit the wife was only swayed to coming along after I told her that her teenage crush Simon Donnelly will be in attendance. (Note to the club I accept no responsibility for members of the Coaching staff or management team being groped this weekend)
