Of all the players that are "iffys" on re-signing the only one I'd miss is SOD, the others haven't exactly shone like beacons this season , Foxy is getting above himself now with comments about getting "his" Scotland place back, i wouldn't rate him as an international goalkeeper, he's still not good on cross balls , Balatoni has been a bit of a bombscare more times than need be , Higgy is not the same player as he was the previous season and Lyle Taylor has missed far more "sitters" than he's scored, so new blood is needed and will be a refreshment to the team IMO.

The club have obviously investigated and the fact the wee man played against Accies tells me they don't view it as such a serious "offence" as the powers that be do !! FFS a lot of us bet on football, horses etc. etc.. Personally don't see any harm in it as long as he doesn't bet in any Thistle game !!

Said the same thing to the lads around me last week in the North Stand, not the same player as he was last season, I suspect it may also have something to do with his disciplinary record , lost count of the yellow cards he received up to his injury, also sent off a cople of times if I'm not mistaken , so holding back from the wreckless tackles ?

I'm actually loving this stage of the season, its becoming exciting in the bottom half with the play offs being a 4 way contest now, I want to make sure I dont miss any of our games from here on in starting Saturday with 3 points against the lanarkshire smell !!

Good article Jaggernaut, valid points being made , my opinion has always been that we should get back to the basics primarliy of employing Scots in the Scottish game with a quota proviso of foreign players, say to a max of 3 per squad ( not team !!) . The reduction of places in the professional game for home bred talent has undoubtedly resulted in the downgrading of our national team and so the sooner we get a return to nurturing our own talent the better.

The guy (Sbragia) sounds like a real ball bag !! If Harper's good enough for Spanish football then he's surely too good for Scottish !! Get him in the squad now !!
