  1. The powers that be seem to change their minds as often as their underwear, I remember Accies having to re-place their surface before their previous step up after having played a couple of seasons on artificial grass, so now the rule has changed again ? as it has done for ground capacity ? make your bloody minds up !!!
  2. Thinking of the 200k we "lost" in the defeat to Ross County means we wont strengthen as we need to do , did the players realise the importance of that last game ?
  3. Wish all three lads the very best and looking forward to seeing good things from them on the field .
  4. I was about 5 years old when my father took me to my first Thistle match at Firhill, wouldve been in the 1955/56 season, don't remember much about those early days except the very high wall around the Garscube road end and the terracings of course, being lifted over the turnstiles , a hot pie and bovril every game , bigger crowds, and if I'm not mistaken , no segregation !!! Ah those were the days my friends !!!
  5. We would be due something for him then if the Pars want him although they probably wont show their cards until month end when he is officially a free agent, but then again maybe that's why he's being offered a contract to stay, such is business !! Wheeling and dealing , there will be many such twists and turns this summer.
  6. Just watched a bit of the Pars game v Cowden last night with Scully making a great save , is he out on loan or has he been signed by Dunfermline ?
  7. No matter what the outcome of the "discussion" I have had my enthusiasm dented severley and will not be buying a season ticket again, did it last year to support the club after an amazing year winning the promotion but this debacle has soured everything , it will be away games and pay at the gate for me when I can make the journey easily.
  8. Well thats it for me !! No re-newal of my season ticket , like a previous poster I will attend away matches in order to watch the Jags since I live in the NE anyway , i'll have Pittodroie, .Dens , Tannadice, Dingwall and Inverness to go to without the same long haul to Glasgow to sit in a drafty old wooden stand which shouldve been pulled down years ago, I will still remain a thistle fan but this decision has seriously dampened my enthusiasm. cheers guys !! Also got Perth !!!that makes it 6 definite away matches, possibly 9., and Ive been a follower of PTFC since about 5 years of age , 58 years ago !! Totally pissed off about this !!
  9. I wont be re-newing , I didnt appreciate being moved out the NS for the sellik game wouldve been better to have given that lot the old stand , get more jags fans in the other 2 stands and have a numbers advantage , and if the polis were capable of body searching then they wouldve found the flares before the smells got in there with them. Sickened completely now though, I travel over a hundred miles for home matches as a loyal thistle fan and this is the thanks !! well no thank you Mr Beattie , I'll spend my saturdays on the golf course this season , cheers !! ps. thats a hundred miles each way !!!
  10. Think when Erskine comes back to us for good and is away from the smell that emanates on the north bank of the Tay then his full confidence will return and we will have our Chrissy back in the fold , think its just all the unsettledness thats preventing him from turning it on for us again .
  11. Agree totally about SoD he looks more comfortable further up the field and next season he could add a bit of support to a frontline which I believe will score many more goals , Its actually becoming a privilege rather than an agony, as in the past at times, of being a Jags fan as we watch our team playing lovely football to entertain . Lets hear it for The Jags !!
  12. Hearts fans shouldn't be the only ones hoping for the capital to have no representation in the top flight , be better for us to have 2 "rookies" coming in next season its just so wonderful being a Jagsfan right now !!!
  13. Still a glass half empty !!! Get a life you moron or piss off over to the s*%th*"e on the other side of the river to enjoy your perpetual greetin'
  14. Couldnt get to the game and gutted that I didnt , working nights this week and I'm in Aberdeen anyway , but watching the highlights already , fabulous performance from the lads again , all the goals were good but Fraser's must rate among one the best of the season and Higgy s blaster was fabulous to watch , his celebration showed how pumped up he was and how much I perceive that he loves this club , my player of the year by a mile , I'll be there on Saturday of course and in the Woodie afterwards , Lets hear it for the Jags !!!!
  15. Yes indeed , always liked the guy as a player and a great model for all aspiring young players to find out about and follow as the legend he truly was in the Scottish game. RIP Sandy Jardine .
  16. Just been reading Sandy Brown's obituary, his funeral is taking place today (25th April) another sad loss to the footballing fraternity, my condolences go out to his family and friends on this sad day for them. RIP Sandy Brown ( one of my Thistle heroes !!)
  17. Ok, but if we're going to be blunt about this , the North stand is for the choir and the , shall we call it the adult section , which by the way is another gripe while im on the subject, although javent noticed so many under 16's lately. any way had my moan , will leave it at that , but its adisgrace for any of us to ignore the people around us and be a bit more mature about our emotions during the game.
  18. I was referring to the OP and his complaint which is in the JH stand, duh !!!!
  19. I have issues of my own regarding our support and the poor stewarding. I've been a supporter for over 50 years and I have to say standards have deteriorated , I've got a ST but never get to sit on my seat in the north stand or even stand in front of it thanks to the youngsters who take no note of reserved places, it has put me off re-newing this year, and the stewarding is a joke , people blocking the aisles for example , not acceptable, swearing in the family section should not be tolerated. In defence of the NS section , I have yet to hear racial abuse but theres still time .
  20. Hibs beaten again tonight , so please stop this knicker wetting for now, we've got 5 games to play and its against similar opposition to ourselves, Sat was an off day, cut the guys some slack ffs !! We can and we will still be playing in the top flight next season and after this first one back its been a baptism of fire for almost every one of our team, so rather than this continual bleating and prophecies of doom , just get behind the lads and do your bit as the 12th man !!
  21. Would keep Gallacher in but take away captaincy and give it to Mair , for positional reasons , cant see how a goalie can captain the team from between the sticks.
  22. Forget yesterday ! Celebrate today !! Sevco humped by Raith and an ex Jags man doing it !! My prayers were answered , I honestly was wishing Baird to score when I saw the scoreline at 0-0 1st period of ET, and then it happened only perhaps 15 mins later , this has helped me get over the bad result from yesterday and I'm sure it will help all of us , we can still stay up , stop worrying !! Lets hear it for "The Jags" !!
  23. Will Aunt Sally survive this one ??? Congrats to Baird and Murray and the magnificent Raith Rovers !!
