  1. Some good ideas already. We've been discussing the Aitken Suite funnily enough!
  2. Lance has had a good response so far; but I'm also after 3-4 extra folk who would be willing to cover the JHS, North Stand and Kids Zone as onethistle customer liaison volunteers for our next two home games (Dumbarton 25/8, Hamilton 1/9). I'm making up a rota to get this off the ground. We'll test the idea out over the next two games, before we establish a pool of good, smiley, friendly helpers - and then we'll look at training support. Anyone interested can contact me direct on [email protected]
  3. perhaps a whole new forum section, "pedants corner"
  4. As you may have heard, onethistle have developed a draft Matchday Experience Strategy to help us make 'Firhill for Thrills' again. Over the next few home games, we plan to start implementing some simple ideas (e.g. customer service helpers) to ensure that fans of all ages are able to enjoy the atmosphere and see the game in comfort and safety. One strand of our Strategy is to continue to learn from our own Away support about the best bits of their Matchday Experience outside Firhill. So for those 'Just In' posters later today, would you care to chuck a few comments down on this thread as to what you enjoyed most about East End Park today ? Anything about the journey, pre-match activities, the ground, food, toilets, customer service, half-time entertainment etc...your feedback will help us develop our ideas for Firhill over the coming weeks and months. Cheers, Sandy
  5. Faithless doing Insomnia, for all the home fans feeling restless at 89 mins when we still haven't dispatched Morton...
  6. Excellent piece on the OS, Lance. A great opportunity fir volunteers past, present and future to come together and enjoy working as a team for the benefit of Thistle and the matchday experience. Let's make it 'Firhill for Thrills' once again. This season is feeling like it could be the one to be part of what's going on. And a decent chance of pushing for the title and a couple of decent cup runs along the way.
  7. Did your granda have sideys too, potty time?
  8. Great news, Dave. You & Ian Mac are doing some really good stuff through OneThistle. Keep it up big fella.
  9. Agree with you on that one, David. But it was The Observer
  10. The Sunday Herald and The Herald have lost a lot of their journalists to cuts. They have unfortunately gone downhill in terms of content and editorial quality. We don't have a decent newspaper left in Scotland, so I get my sport and news from the Guardian; Scottish football coverage limited but improving (had some good Sevco pieces).
  11. I've heard they made a daring move to sign the Malawian player of the year, Intregrity. But he has refused to be part of the Sevco set-up
  12. Just email the Club, they'll respond to your request Im sure. But first, check you've not already got one in your large collection! You might have thought you were buying a Man City top...
  13. Quality reporting by the BCC again
  14. If you wear it back to front, the ties fasten behind. You might find this handy tip useful. Dumbarton to take a 25 point penalty because they didn't send you a shirt....What should I claiim for a cold pie up at Inverness 8 years ago?
  15. Good point, BJ. Perhaps we could still allow online stir-fry activities for the Cup games and keep Yoda Jags Ewok subs for the league?
  16. Do I feel sorry for them? Errrr.....no. Do I feel sorry that the Scottish game has been tarnished by the Gers fiasco, Regan and Doncaster? YES
  17. I'd like to see Bannigan, Erskine, Welsh and Lawless start. McGuigan as impact sub.
  18. FIFA Act On your rules amendment ideas and the game of football is transformed...
  19. Sigesige, dont be disappointed. There are many very serious suggestions within this thread: Ewok substitutes Cats with bells Jumpers for goalposts Electrified gloves You should consider sending these to FIFA, they will like them very much and reward you with 5 more match-shirts to add to your collection. Then you can easily outdo the referees who will only be wearing 72 taps! Keep up the nonsense, mate; you are a natural born entertainer. Thistle are priviledged to have your services at our disposal.
  20. Reading this thread cracks me up, some brilliant ideas to the point of tears rolling down my cheeks. That's Sigesige for opening up such 'possibilities'. While we are at it, I'm all for changing the shape of the moon so it fits more easily through the square window on Playschool. And I'd suggest unraveling the knitted clangers on the moon to provide enough special wool to knit jumpers for goalposts. I also think Belgium should be called BigKahunaBurgerLand.
  21. I would suggest changing the colour of the Glasgow subway trains; they are far too bright.
  22. Nightmare. That'll be GrantB firmly staying at home for all the Fife away games then
