  1. I've never really heard anyone say breaking bad is a slow burner but I have heard folk say they think the first season can be quite depressing viewing with the emphasis on the cancer struggle. Personally I think it's like the opening scene of saving private Ryan in that it's actually such powerful viewing that you can start to empathise with a harsh subject even if you've never been, and may never be, exposed to it directly. As the seasons go on and characters develop it just gets better and better. One of those that you're gutted it's finished but glad it's gone out without dropping the standard.
  2. Inception 2: Paranoia within Paranoia - Starring The Green Brigade Never done making martyrs of themselves at any opportunity.
  3. Not sure who county's other is against but st mirren's is Celtic. They are getting **** all from that and I'm still confident we'll finish above both. Guy that sits next to me said today Beattie told him in the Aitken suite pre-match that Archie has a budget for bringing players in during transfer window. A centre half that can organise the defending of a corner kick would be a start for me
  4. That photo is pretty dated. Broadwood has had a gym building behind that goal for a few years now.
  5. Overheard a guy questioning a polis next to the hospitality area at half time about the tims in hospitality waving scarves and jumping around/gesticulating towards Jags fans after they scored the first. Polis was saying they couldn't do anything about it as it was the stewards responsibility up until a point where something happens that requires their involvement. The guy said they were going to end up inciting trouble and the polis said "unless the stewards tell them otherwise, the hospitality crowd can do what they like".
  6. Between Osborne and higgy for mom for me. Sinclair was a shout too, particularly first half performance. Welsh was caught in possession a few times which is a shame because his work rate is outstanding
  7. Has anyone in the post match analysis mentioned the fact that craigen was sent back ten yards by the linesman? Kinda a large omission in the discussion if the consensus is how "hard done by" Inverness were. Edit: they seem to be making a big deal about being able to hear the ict player say "I've taken it" but is it only me that thinks it's quite obvious the linesman is shaking his head I.e. Naw ye didnae
  8. They have started the season well, but the worst thing we can do is go up there and give them too much respect. I don't think our players have a mindset in them to sit deep and defend but I hope they don't get cold feet about having a go at this mob just because they are sitting second. Their result against St Johnstone should definitely be a seen as good thing for us because it shows they are absolutely there for the taking and we need to go into the game with our usual confidence on the ball.

Could this potentially be a refinancing or restructuring of our loan agreements since the bank may acknowledge that we are going to be in a position to pay more back with increased revenue in the next year? Or possibly further borrowing for the ground improvements during the summer?
  10. The one on the bing from behind the tv gantry is so near yet so far to the photo I wanted from the Morton or Dunted games with the ground full
  11. Given that it's quite clear they had no intention of changing their mind regarding the north stand saga, the home end tickets should have been on sale before the Hibs game and/or for at least a couple of days before the away tickets to at least try and counter this potential shambles.
  12. Didn't novo spit at Archie during a game at Starks park?...
  13. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2013-2014/october_2013/celtic_ticket_information No mention of particular stands...
  14. Most pleasing news. This is the right way to go about significant investment in a club like ours, we'll get the balance sheets right in time so commitment like this to long term player development is just brilliant. Huge thanks and respect to these guys.
  15. Not a junior team but Geordie Shaw manages and plays for an amateur team in Kilsyth. All to do with the thistle chaplain (mark something or other) asking him to help out a few years ago and he's been doing it since. I know this as my girlfriend recently moved into a rented house and her landlord is none other than Mr Shaw. Naturally I used the "any questions" bit at the end of the initial viewing to confirm identity rather than ask anything about the property. He then went and dug out a few old framed pictures and other memerobilia for a swatch. Geordie is sound.

I'd just like to know if a certain propco arrangement is having an effect on where monies from crowds that are housed in the main stand end up. I.e. Are the thistle minded investors getting a slice of their combined 50% ownership on a weekly basis now?
  17. Ian archer summed up the dead lot succinctly as a permanent embarrassment and occasional disgrace. Some of their fans obviously feel that they have to act like angry deluded fuds to keep up the whole bullshit production.
  18. Was a genuine question about our scorers totals last time, I don't know off top of my head. Grady's goals didn't keep us up but he is exactly the type of player this team needs imo, contrary to the constant shouts for the mythical big strong striker. Like I said, it's a shame Baird hasn't as yet turned out to offer a Grady type role but to be honest I can see why Archie took a punt on him. I think it's obvious Archie knows we need to strengthen up front and I'm happy enough to sit on it until the transfer window allows him to make a move for a different option. Personally I'd have liked to see duggan from the under 20's get a bench slot at least in the cup games we've had. Also, what the fcuk is happening with mukendi? I've only seen ten mins of him v ayr, is he really so pish that he doesn't merit a chance off the bench in the league?
  19. I think trotter's assessment is right. I sometimes come away from games thinking the attacking midfielders need to work on their shooting but then remember there have been more than a few terrific saves from opposition keepers to balance that out. I really think we've just been unlucky in this respect. My main concerns about chances we create (or lack thereof) is from o'donnell not being able to get crosses past the first defender and ATS over hitting them. Also very poor set piece delivery from pretty much anyone that's had a go, including Forbes. How many did burns and hardie get in our first spl season last time, and then Grady the second? Grady in particular would have been dynomite in this team. I really hoped Baird would turn out to be off his mould but its not happened at all.
  20. Got into north stand no bother with our JH tickets
  21. Have you really come across one willing to admit the old club died?? I really don't care if they want to believe it's a new club/company/clumpany or not, the fact is they have a liquidation event to their name and will never live that down. "Ra Peepul" did fcuk all to stop it happening either, quite happy to bleat about numbers turning up for games now but they collectively did nothing of note other than daub a few rambling messages onto pish-stained bed sheets for their big march on Hampden ( ), when the shit hit the fan. All that trademark orc rage is clearly now being fueled by sheer embarrassment at allowing their club to die. "Establishment club"
  22. The headline is weird, but it's a good article which shows the jags in a good light and allows Paul Paton to make a Cnut of himself... In public... Again. Heard Archie was quite forcefully behind the new social-media policy at the club, I don't think pate's shite "banter" would go down too well with that.
  23. Merchant City is looking like a Jags day out already. Heavin with red, yellow and black
