  3. They hate it when you walk up and ask them where they got that retro football top from...
  4. I didn't actually watch the game as I was at the Download Festival at the time. Only way I found out was a Dutch guy spotting my Denmark top and coming over to congratulate.
  5. It was 20 years ago today, the Danes showed Europe how to play...
  6. Supporters' paddle-steamer to the Ayr friendly... How cool would that have been!
  7. Scottish Premier League Financial Fair Play Rules: Rule 1: There are no rules. Basically the essence of today's meeting.
  8. Their New Firm rivals Queens Park will run them close for the title.
  9. God forbid people taking public transport to the games or even such a radical thing as getting your arse onto a bike. Why is it we have the obsession that we need to be able to drive to the very doorstep of where we want to go...
  10. Great idea! It was quite evident from the following the Nomads Show got that this approach is a way for the club to explore to get fans into the fold and earn some cash through subscriptions to a service. We need to realise that our support is much wider than immediate Glasgow and that there are many reasons why fans are unable to make it along to Firhill. Some based abroad, some based in highlands/islands, some who are housebound for whatever reason - it all adds up. And if the Nomads run by a few fans were able to connect with so many fans during its time, the club could be able to do so much more and build on the contacts that the Nomads collected...
  11. I wonder if the One Thistle group could revive the idea of a subscription service for exiled fans along with all the other objectives the Nomads had, when we were active. That would be well worth a shot considering how well the Nomads did in bringing far flung fans closer to Firhill.
  12. Yea, wife and her friend are still up for it. Have let them know about the facebook group.
  13. A tequila sunrise with a shot of jagermeister then...
  14. No need to go to extremes. Just turn them inside out.
  15. Great initiative! My wife and her friend are up for coming along. Possibly also my sister-in-law, if she can make it over from Islay.
  16. Hitler was a Catholic throughout his life. He was never ex-communicated by the church, where as it did not hesitate to ex-communicate Communists en masse.
  17. There's a Dutch defender called Mark De Man, who Killie were apparently interested in. Danny Invincible And let's not forget, our own Manny Panther.
  18. Jamie Mitchell - shame his career ended so early Good old "Boab" is another personal favourite that I probably would give him a miss in the XI.
  19. The main point really was that the ref had no clear line and lost control of the game quite early on. That said, the red cards we conceded were in order, but we should never have allowed ourselves to end up in that situation with Flannigan having a lot to answer for. We should have had the game wrapped up by half time, but failed to take our chances and that was what came back to haunt us. Even with one man down, we still managed to create chances and I had belief throughout that we could have been back in with a shout, because to be honest, Berwick far from impressed, but they took their chances and held on. Looking forward to hear what McNamara will make of this.
  20. Politics do come into it unfortunately. It is too easy to just dismiss Breivik as an attention seeking loony without taking his extreme ideological background into account. When we first got the news about bombing and shooting in Norway, I bet the first thought among many was of Al Qaeda and not of a tall blonde Norwegian man. It is reminder that right wing extremism and terrorism is a very real threat, which we need to take very serious. On a second note, capitalism does come into it very far down the line...
  21. Accies website has got it down for the Tuesday with 7.45pm kick off.
  22. Great photos, Tommy! I like how you picked up on the guys in the crowd wearing similar shirts, but not the guy sitting next to them dressed as little red riding hood...
  23. Walking up to one of the guys selling Irish flags and asking if he had any Scottish ones...
