Hi jls, not disagreeing with anything you say. Again from the programme all 4 players have PTFC U17 as their previous club. When this is all done, whenever that may be, we as Thistle fans will continue to support the club. No matter who is in charge.

First thing I don't want to get involved in any of the many personal 'discussions' that are going on in this thread. Also not taking any sides. The programme last season marked a red A against some players names. This denoted Academy Graduate. 4 Players had this A against their names. They were Penrice, Bannigan, McCarthey and Fitzpatrick.

If I ever swing from the Firhill bar as you keep encouraging me to do. That will be your job.

I have said it before and I will say it again. The majority of things that were done in Robert's memory were started by posters on this forum and Eunice and myself will be forever grateful for that. That is the good side of the forum. But sometimes some on the forum cannot accept that others have a different opinion from them. When you get 2 or more like that, they just constantly want to catch the other one out. It gets boring after a while. Eunice used to say she didn't understand how Robert and I both supported Thistle. Yet we disagreed on matters to do with Thistle sometimes. If she came on this forum she would soon see how Thistle fans can disagree.

After 103 pages, to date . Meeting today. There is still no clear indication to what is happening at our club.What direction it is going in. Or who is going to own it. Ma heid is buzzled.

Apart from Dundee Utd and Dundee at the top and Alloa and Arbroath at the bottom I don't see a lot between the other teams. I feel if we cant get into one of the play off spots it will be a missed chance. I don't think Caldwell will get such an easy time now we have a different board. But as I say can we afford to pay him off if required. I do hope it doesn't come to that.

Really don't think we will be relegated. There are 2 part time teams in the league, if we cant finish above them we are in big trouble. If I remember correctly Beattie mentioned our budget for this season is either 3rd or 4th best in the league. If we were to go on a run like Caldwell had when he first came to the club I don't think he would be kept on as manager. Of coarse that is assuming we could afford to get rid of him. Only 2 game gone I know, but I think it looks like Dundee Utd will win it. Dundee probably second and the next 2 play off places up for grabs. We should be looking to be in the mix for one of those places imo.

I thought the crowd was only about 2500. Was surprised when it was announced as 3200.

Good first half,but a bit of a collapse in the second. Once Utd went ahead we never looked like getting anything from the game. Cant see Mansell or Jones getting into double figures goal wise. So looks like we are depending on Miller or Gordon to score our goals.

I watch the EFL highlights on Quest. Lucas Aikins has done really well at Burton as well.

Taylor has been banging the goals in over the last 2/3 seasons. He got more than 20 goals last season as Charlton won promotion to the Championship last season. He scored last Saturday in his first game in the Championship.

Hope so Norge. It would be great to be talking about a Thistle victory and not the new owners. For a few hours anyway.
