  1. Agree. Dundee fans having to travel to Glasgow for 7-05 on a Friday and likewise for our fans going to Arbroath. Once again common sense and Scottish football authorities , words never used in the same sentence.
  2. 3 Thistle games on the BBC Scotland channel. Our home game against Dundee Utd will now be Friday 9th August. Our away game against Morton, Friday 23rd August and away to Arbroath Friday 13th September. All games have a 7-05 pm ko.
  3. Who needs Robert Burns. We have PTD.
  4. Fox on STV news saying he will win over the doubters.STV news reporter called us gers fans . But then corrected himself after the interview. 'Should have said Jags fans' he said
  5. Exactly. Plenty of time for negativity once the season starts.
  6. Thanks for a moving and touching post ccjag. Life can give us experiences like this that puts football in perspective.
  7. One of the first snooker programmes on tv, pot black. Was shown in black and white when it first started.
  8. Time will tell if Doolan is as you put it 'done'. Of course being at a new team and also having a manager who rates him could reinvigorate him.
  9. Sport should be for everybody. Your gender, race, religion or sexuality has nothing to do with it. Even your ability or disability should not stop you, Young Robert played wheelchair football, which is not for the faint hearted. It wasn't unusual for wheelchairs to go flying as 2 players went in for crunching tackles and I mean crunching. The teams were mixed with males and females. I notice that Muirfield golf club has finally lifted their ban of not allowing female members. Of course being told they would not be allowed to host any British open tournaments as long as the no female rule was in place might have helped change their minds, against a rule that was in place for more than 270 years. Like everything on the TV if you don't like it, change the channel or switch it of.
  10. Status Quo, fearful. They did well with limited talent.
  11. What about when they open up their body, and not a scalpel in sight.
  12. Don't think Fox would want to be a back up.

Being reported that Falkirk are considering 2 takeover bids.
  15. I was one of the fans who didn't think McDonald would do a job for us. Because he hadn't played since the end of the 17/18 season and I also thought his media work would also make it harder for him to do a good job for us. He proved me wrong and I was very happy to say so on the forum, although I don't think I came on sheepishly to do it. I also found out when I presented him with the Robert Watson player of the year trophy that he is a very nice guy and he was more than happy to chat with my wife and I about Robert. We also got some great photo's with us, Scott and the trophy. I hope Kenny does a very good job for us because he is playing for Thistle and no matter what team/teams a player has played for in the past as soon as they start playing for us I want them to do well.

I would think best case scenario is we are in the Premier league and hopefully go far in cup competitions on a regular basis. I would fancy that. But as I have said before, nobody knows what is happening. Because those in the know are not saying anything yet. When they do decide to say something, maybe we will know more then.
  17. Sell him, get him back on a season long loan. Norwich are in the Premiership, he wont get near the first team next season.

That is the whole problem. Nobody knows what is going on and the ones that do know are not saying anything. Speculation will continue until the silence is broken. For the record I like what Norgethistle says.
  19. Are we signing him as a striker or to clean up Firhill after matches ?

Hi Allyo, I think we are of similar age. But I am of a different opinion as I have longed for someone to plough money into the club. I think it would be great if we could get a winning team on the park and finally get some success apart from finishing 6th in the top league every 30 odd years or so, being the pinnacle. I think if we have a winning team on the park doing well on a consistent basis we would get the crowds back. Some might call them glory hunters. Of course I would not want the future of the club put in doubt, because of any deal. One thing for sure it is never boring following the Jags.
