  1. Stop talking sense. Get with the gossipy, rumour mongering conspiracies!! It's social media for goodness sake! Facts don't matter!
  2. Budd made a decent save early on. Rubbish game on a poor surface. It should start to improve soon. Pleased with the way tactics were changed to good effect at half time. Apart from that, a nothing game. And Barry Robson came across a bit arsey in his post match interview. Making out like RR are the plucky underdogs and everything was against them.
  3. Fitzpatrick appears to be playing right wingback? Jings.
  4. Excellent result. The co-managers are starting to stake a claim.
  5. Looked fitter, but can't be significantly so given limited time. Suspect this more to do with tactics, formation and just possibly attitude/effort.
  6. Sorry to hear you're having a bad time. Thanks for everything you've done here - it can be a thankless task being a forum admin these day. And you're right - life is too short. All the best.
  7. So we've got one thread where a vendetta against someone on the board, and other thread where the manager is being called Judas after he's scored a goal. This place is truly the pits. Life's too short... Someone delete my account please. I've asked via message a couple of times already.
  8. The lack of moderation on this forum is frustrating at times.
  9. Basically you're using a story borne out of tragedy for hundreds of thousands of people as part of your petty vendetta against board. Doesn't get much lower than that.
  10. Good luck team - a surprise positive result is long overdue! (mainly commenting to get this thread above another car crash of boardroom related nonsense...)
  11. Looks like a player with excellent experience which will hopefully means he makes a decent contribution quickly. First and foremost so we regain defensive solidity we had earlier in the season, but also so we start firing again out wide.
  12. Jeezo - who were you expecting? Name a player you think we could sign in late February?
  13. In the circumstances - probably. By this point post transfer window, there's not going to be many options. If he's not had a club, fitness is likely to be an issue. I wonder if Brian Graham will give a snippet of his reasoning - I like when he does that with women's team signings. Edited to add: that was in response to - is this the best we can do question.

If I knew for a fact who had been appointed manager, I think I'd wait and let the club announce it. Call me old-fashioned...

Wonder how many others have been approached?

Recruitment can take time. You need to give some time for people to submit applications, then applications need to be reviewed, short-list agreed and interviews scheduled. You sometimes might have second interviews, then you need make decision and agree contract. I was of the understanding that the advert closed just on Friday?

How do you know who the board are considering? It makes total sense to stick with Graham and Wilson in short-term. As the update says, it gives time to take a thorough approach to recruitment.
  18. A mate of someone I know knows someone who used to work beside a guy that had a summer job with the company that sells us pies. He says we're going to unveil Antonio Conte on Tuesday at 3.57. McTominay and Lukaku are coming with him apparently. You didn't hear it from me though.
  19. An ex-director should know better than to go gossiping like a primary school kid.
  20. And who knows if it's true. There's way too much gossip, conjecture and rumour-mongering on this forum these days. The fact is most of us don't have a clue. And if anyone does actually have a clue, then that's the damning bit.
  21. I don't think I'd want Brian Graham as manager just now. Despite his experience with the woman's team, he's still developing. But to write him off quite so definitively when he was asked to take over the job 4 days ago is utterly ludicrous. This notion fans have that managers are omnipotent, and everything that happens on the park is down to them, is just daft. Being a manager of a football team is just the same as being a manager anywhere else. Sometimes it takes time to turn things around.
  22. We haven't appointed anyone yet. Perhaps hold on to that criticism until we have?
  23. I suspect people hear about things in just the same way you do. Someone says something online, which someone else repeats, and lo and behold...

I would've thought you review decision to appoint a Sporting Director in light of Manager's post now being vacant. Anyone in the manager job has to agree with the arrangement. And better to know the strengths of the individuals involved and critically that they are going to work effectively together. I think it is unnecessarily complicated and risky to be recruiting both at the same time.
