    Pilgrimage

So impressed with it when it was unfurled and paraded. Then when I looked over and saw how it was displayed I thought sh*t it's actually too big! Do we have dosh left? Can we get it waterproofed, eyelets put in, and stake it out on the bing? Don't mean leave it out permanately, just have some volunteers (visiting nomads?) to stake it out for home matches.
  3. according to Traynor in the Hunday Mail. Can't believe I actually paid for this crap. Today's is one big ad for a book written by one of its employees.
  4. I've already participated in a couple of "pledges" for little-known singer/songwriters/musicians that I like to get their albums financed in advance. There's various levels of pledge, starting with you just get the CD when it's ready, autographed copies, CD & tshirt up to the artist playing in your front room! No reason we can't do a variation on this idea.
  5. I arrive in Glasgow at 10am, and from the statement it's not clear what time the ticket office will be open on Saturday. Preferably I'd like to be able to head to Firhill and secure my ticket before heading for the pub. Has anyone any info on the opening times for the ticket office on Saturday?
  6. I emailed Firhill on Tuesday asking if they were going to be selling tickets early as I want to ensure I get in after getting up at 4 and having to come in via Edinburgh now as Easyjet have changed their flights to Glasgow on Saturdays. Basrards! No reply so far.
  7. I'll be there. I'll be leaving Wintergills early to make sure I get a seat near my mates in the JH, so a photo after the game would be good. Think to parade it with the ball boys would be ace before the match.

  9. As a first division team I'd have been quite happy to stump up the £12 for the super version this season. Bristol Rovers charge £4.95 a month just for getting video highlights - no other things like on offer on the £6 version. Two issues though - when we get to the premier next year, I can have access to BBC Radio Scotland Open All Mics, so have a live commentary and see the highlights or (delayed) live on Alba, With my blind loyalty to the club, I'll probably stump up anyway, but think there'll be a few Anglos debating if it's worth it. If i lived abroad I'd be jumping at it as I can't do IT stuff like proxy servers very well.
  10. Thought I'd fallen asleep for 4 1/2 months and woke up on April 1st. Mum (86, so she likes Mills & Boon type stuff) buys the Daily Mirror, which yesterday contained the biggest load of bollocks ever written about league reconstruction. Their "Chief Sports Writer" whose name escapes me, wants the Scottish Premier Clubs amalgamated within EFL leagues. He states the top 4 clubs in Scotland go in to the Championship, next 4 into League 1, and last 4 into League 2. However, when he lists the leagues as they would be, there's a certain team in Scottish Division 3 that magically appear in the Championship and Dungdee are not mentioned at all. Article does not appear to be on their website, so wasn't able to ridicule it. Just as well as the allergies would have kicked in if I'd had to register on their site.
  11. Just had a call from Ian Maxwell in response to my message left on answerphone. Calendars will be available by post, using PayPal within the next few days. Info will appear on the official site once they've decided on p&p charges. Dead chuffed at getting a call from Ian.
  12. Has the match just been selected as part of the Friday experiment or is it on BBC Alba as well?
  13. Thanks for this link - it work a treat, pity about the actual game though.
  14. Anyone got a link as I don't have Sky?
  15. Don't really care about his employment status, but anyone that spits at another is scum. Will not be forgiven, ever.
  16. Just looking at this seasons league home attendances - v Falkirk 3477; v Dumbarton 2944; v Hamilton 2603. I'd expect a larger than average crowd against the Bairns, but surely Dumbarton didn't bring 300 more fans through than Hamilton? Played 3, won 3 and the crowd drops? Discuss.
  17. Somewhere, I've got a framed enlarged photocopy of the Rod cartoon showing a Jags fan in a straightjacket with the caption "No, the Jags really did score eleven"
  18. That did occur to me, but didn't think it important enough to mention. Edit: Don't think officially they ever had Glasgow as part of their name anyway.
  19. Found this on BBC today. Found it quite interesting from a Jags point if view. Should have twigged as I've been to the Burgh Halls many a time, but never really thought about it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-19168940
  20. Agree with the sentiments here - I've always headed for Greaves first thing (after a greasy spoon) in the city centre after catching the 06:55 from Bristol - and come away spending nowt or very little because it's not in the team colours. Keep it simple, smart, well made but most of all in some sort of red/yellow/black combination. Nice new silk tie would be good, please, with some decent cuff links.
  21. I'm pretty sure that that I've got a ticket stub and I was on the terraces. Definitely got the programme and no way am I ever parting with that. I also have a copy of the following week's Celtic View (donated by a friend), where they are very magnanimous in defeat whilst managing to avoid naming any Jags player at all.
  22. Don't see much of the Scottish papers down here, but did manage to get a Sunday Mail this morning for a laugh. Thing is it wasn't effin funny. How anyone can make such any sort of story out of Gilmour's maybe's aye, maybe's naw comments and put such a headline as "5 SPL Clubs Weeks From Death" is pushing their already very limited credibility to the precipice. Keevins' and Burley's comments are so far removed from reality it's not true. It's not just the Scottish media - the usually pretty reliable Independent and i papers both reported Rangers "relegation" to Div 3.
