  1. Need to remember that the league campaign is a marathon, not a sprint. McCall must ensure that we don’t peak too early, which I think is the plan here
  2. Dugouts are fine the way they are. It is the stands that should be turned round so that we don’t have to watch
  3. I've got a choice of Celtic or Aberdeen. I suspect that it will be the former, but if I'm to have any chance of moving up the table, I'll have to cross my fingers and say Aberdeen For the same reason No Score in normal time
  4. I'm not sure what you expect (not want) it to say. If one is issued it will be either "We have our £XXX thankyou" (but ommit that we gave it to McCall who spunked it on players more shit than the shit he released) or it will say "We ****ed up and are working to put it right". The actual statement would be more bland and more wordy. What I do think is that the club, and all parties, would have had legal and financial advice and these people will have had access to more info than you or I ever will and will assure that it is all above board, if only for the sake of their professional careers. I also believe that there is a will by all parties to complete the transfer of propco assets and to put the club into fan ownership. I do not believe that there is some sort of Machiavellian plot to destroy Partick Thistle FC. But then again, perhaps some posters would like a bland statement so that they can nit pick over every word to find the worst possible interpretation of anything anyone says. I'm not ready to give up on it yet, but this forum has become a very unpleasant place to be with an almost total lack of humour and no goodwill or ability to take words at face value. There is a clear vendetta against those who have or have held positions of power within the club (not just Low) and a coercion to belittle any poster who doesn't believe in their conspiracy theories (I have no doubt that I will now be the brunt of that) As for McCall being undermined by those tweets, if he is then he is way too insecure to be a decent football manager (which he isn't)
  5. We agree on one thing. There are more important things to worry about.
  6. Happens regularly. At some point I’ll retire maybe in next 4 years and replacements are openly discussed. I don’t feel undermined. She never said there was an imminent vacancy, so I still don’t get it.
  7. Maybe (ok probably) I’m being thick, but what is the problem ? east Fife have a good manager and one day Thistle will need one.
  8. I thought that they had in the statement earlier this week from the working group and Low. My translation was ... we ****ed up but we're sorting it. I'm not expecting more than that for now.
  9. No I don't ! That is pure speculation
  10. Just so long as we don't get the bloody awful VAR. Did anyone see the Burnley v Bournemouth game where a Bournemouth goal was disallowed to award a penalty at the other end ?
  11. Is it a side or 11 random players ? I can’t see an obvious formation with Robson in there
  12. Do we know that we didn’t get the £900k ? We could be moaning about something that has happened
  13. Feeling more confident than usual. I think we will score. 1-3
  14. I think we would have had some transfer income included. May would be before Fitzpatrick, but did we not get sell on fees for Lindsay and/or Hendry ? The next 12 months will be very telling as we appear to have been splashing the cash, along with 3 (and counting) changes of board and asset transfers. Still good to know that we were on relatively sound financial footing up to that point
  15. but as we don't know if there are or are not any instructions, therefore we do not know what she can or can not do. You are assuming that there are none when you say she can do what she likes. We just don't know.
  16. Has anyone contacted Maryhill CID as I'm sure that the Taggart team need to re-examine the passing of Colin Weir. We have now established motive, so I hope Jacqui Low has an alibi, otherwise all we will need is a means. My money is on poison. Has anyone else heard the rumour that Death In Paradise is relocating to The Firhill Basin ?
  17. If we were runaway leaders, regularly scoring 5 or 6 and playing scintillating football, would there still be a proposed boycott because of who the chairman is ? Thought not
  18. And we have such a great record against sides who have just sacked/appointed new managers. Let’s hope he gets a stay of execution
  19. We didn’t suddenly need a chairman, we have needed one since the interim board took control and thought they could do without one
  20. Perhaps you and Jordanhill are both right. The shares were bought independent of the training complex and once that was settled Colin Weir had a review of how he would fund it. That was when the training complex, which clearly had rising costs, was cancelled to fund the shares. However I doubt you 2 could agree on whether the Jags play in red and yellow or yellow and red
  21. What Exactly could Goodwin, or TFE have done to stop this happening ?
  22. Did she ? I thought that was David Beattie spin when he ousted her and later dismissed by Norman Springford who said he would not have issued such a statement. Two thoughts from me. Much as I would not want her on the board, I do think that we were rudderless without a chairman. It may not be the rudder that we want and it may be pointing us in the wrong direction, only time will tell on that, but I am pleased that we have a chairman again. Secondly, the why now. The interim board and Ms Low must have known what the reaction would be, therefore there must be a reason why the interim board would unanimously support this. Remember that there are fans representatives on the board and unanimous would mean that they supported it. I am wondering if this is a excercise to deflect attention away from Ian McCall and his underperforming players. Get the fans rile deflected in another direction and take the presure off them for a bit. The statement was also issued late on a friday on a weekend where we don't have a match and I suspect there is something in the timing. Others around us do play today, so the league table might look worse after that.
