I have done both of mine (different incidents). If they managed to get it back in place quickly then the recovery will be quicker. Normal every day stuff you can do (with a bit of pain) after 2 weeks. The problem is streaching above your head. It was months before I could do that, so I don't see Ryan being commanding at crosses for a few months. Good luck Ryan and I hope that yours is a quick one.

I have to say that I am in 2 minds about this one. First of all, Archie owes us nothing. He has been an excellent servant to the club and if he thinks that Shrewsbury Town is a move that will enhance his career then he deserves the chance to go for it. I like Archie as a manager. He doesn't give out all of that manager bullshit, or rubbish other clubs and players. He is very considered in his comments to the press and conducts himself with great dignity. He has been a very safe pair of hands, keeping us in the Premiership and I have absolutely no doubt that he will do the same again. That said, I'm not convinced that he is the man to take us to the next level, top 6/europe. There are a couple of areas which he has failed to address in his time with us, late goals conceded and a regular scoring striker. Maybe it is time to role the dice and bring in some fresh thinking. It has to be said that it would be a roll of the dice as with the resources at Thistle, it could easily go very wrong. There is no room for error in this league and no crystal ball to say what a new manager would do.

He wouldn't be interested. The current Scotland team are a lower standard than York City

My worry is that removing Strachan and replacing him now woud just be a different face in the dugout and a different voice on the press conference. I doubt that it will change anything on the pitch. As has been said, the current talent pool is pretty thin, so just appointing the next candidate from the list of usual suspects - Lambert, McInness, Wright - are unlikely to change much. There is even mention of Fergie, Smith and McLeish returning. I honestly cant see any of them having what it takes to make a silk purse from a pig's ear. If we do change manager, what we need is an appointment from left field, someone with a different way of thinking from the old school establishment, and someone willing to take a risk. We have very little to lose. The tried and tested hasn't cut it

I think you are missing the point of these competitions. They are run by the big cubs for the big cubs and they are wanting to keep more of the dosh for themselves
