  1. How did Magennis get off with that? That compliance officer must think it's time to chuck it. He's hardly had a glowing record of success in the post.
  2. I think his name on here was Toaster? Not seen any posts from him in ages. Would be good to know that he's still following us and not been seduced by the dark side...
  3. Everybody stepped up today and played really well. We were a bit nervy in the early stages but ran out deserved winners. I was also worried about the threat from McDonald, Sutton, Erwin and Ainsworth but they never got a look in. Happy days!!
  4. It was great hold up play from Lyle. He took a look at where the defender was and held him off really well then laid it off to Stevie.
  5. As someone once said "it's a funny old game". Looking back at the expectations before the double header against Ross County, then Dundee United and St Johnstone games, I think we'd all have thought 6 points would be a good return. Like most of us on here I expected those points to come from the county games but as we all know, we lost those games and won for the first time in ages up at Tannadice then a convincing victory today. Same points total expected but gained the Thistle way.
  6. Highlights on Alba tomorrow night at 10pm.
  7. Lyle scored 2 pens in an FA cup tie recently so would have no worries about him taking it.
  8. Game shouldnt be in doubt - Thistle Tweet just posted a picture of the ground on Twitter and looks in great condition.
  9. And the bad news is that he's only 36! He's got years of screw ups, mistakes and red cards ahead of him!
  10. And just as you say that, John Baird scores for Falkirk against Hearts
  11. Agree with this. As long as they both keep losing that helps us stay in the league. Hopefully the enforced break will allow those ill or injured players to be fully fit for Sunday
  12. Only an excuse is well past its sell by date and should have been scrapped years ago. Pale imitation of what it once was.
  13. I expect Jonathan Sutherland will be biting his tongue when he has to talk about our game tomorrow on Sportscene. Hopefully Stevo will be invited back!
  14. And Motherwell have just equalised against against Ross County. Get in Conrad!!
  15. Agree with all of that. Particularly the chap with rancid wind! God knows what he had for breakfast!
  16. Still don't understand the experiment of playing Stevenson up front when it's clear to see he can't play there. Fox is a good keeper but he needs to be the one to start the ball moving quickly ands not allow the opposition to regroup and get back behind the ball. SOD was always available in space but never received it so I think Fox deserves some stick for taking so long to release the ball. On a weekend when we'd seen Motherwell win and Ross County leading comfortably at half time whilst we were toiling badly, then I think the fans are entitled to let the team know it's not good enough. Based on the way we started the second half it looked like the message got across.
  17. Not for me,but even if we were interested we would have no chance of signing him as he's on megabucks in India-English championship wages. I'd much prefer Lyle to be signed.
  18. Just noticed that Farid El Alagui has been released from Brentford. Might be worth a punt if we can't get LT. Thoughts?
  19. Banzo did well in that position but the defenders soon got wise to the fact he would turn inside rather than go for the byline. A more than useful player to use in an emergency but not a long term fix.
  20. Never a good idea playing a right footer in the left back position.
  21. Anyone who thinks Ryan McGivern would be a good replacement for ATS should be watching this game. Kicks it the way he's facing! The very definition of hoofball.
  22. Was that DVD someone's school project? Really disappointed in the overall quality but the way the interviews just seemed to fade out mid sentence was really shoddy. Great to see the goals again but when you look at the official version in comparison with what Red and yellow has posted on here, they are like night and day!
  23. I'm a JHS regular and sit there more for the view than the atmosphere. However the atmosphere created by the NS singers cannot be underestimated. They've helped turn a lifeless, souleless stadium into a great matchday experience and all of this will be lost in moving to the Main Stand. None of the reasons in the statement stand up to scrutiny and there are plenty of ways around this without resorting to the Main Stand move. The way the club has handled this has been shameful and shows a complete disregard for a core element of the support - I'd have had more respect for them if their had been any sort of proper fan engagement or consultation but to set up a meeting then have no statement issued for 3 days is a poor way to do business - and using Chris Jack as a mouthpiece was an epic fail! Come on Board - be the bigger man here and accept it's the wrong thing to do and keep the North Stand Red and Yellow! Fully support the guys on this and will be withholding my season ticket money until a suitable compromise / reversal is reached.
